I'd try to give as much as possible the same info that the label does. The label only lists the Opera title in caps, as if that was the main information, but to keep different arias of the same opera apart from each other, it helps to see that aria name also in the song field. I've adjusted the entry accordingly.
Whats the preferred method to list here? (I think i cut and pasted the track titles from another site - so i wouldnt have to type out all that Italian!)
If the name of the opera is given should i list both the opera and the aria, or just the aria?
I have DPX 13-16 to list still.
These are the arias Convien partir from La figlia del reggimento (original title in French: La fille du régiment) composed by Gaetano Donizetti, and Ah! non credea mirarti from La sonnambula by Vincenzo Bellini. Both sung in Italian by soprano Lina Pagliughi, with the E.I.A.R. Symphony Orchestra, Turin.
Track titles on labels:
A: La figlia del reggimento. Act 2: "Convien partir"
B: La sonnambula. Act 2: "A non credea mirarti"
Uniform titles (headings added to the data entry to unite all versions of a title regardless of spelling, language, etc. These are Library of Congress headings):
