 Interesting to see a label variation which is obviously a later re-pressing.

In the pre-internet days, this was known as the hardest UK #1 to find on the original pressing. With eBay, it isn't difficult to find one, though they aren't cheap! Perhaps because it was a children's record, a lot of the originals ended up broken? Plus the fact record sales in 1953 weren't very high, so it might not have sold much to begin with anyway.

suncat - I've heard that might not be true, I can't remember where - but she might have sung it on a TV show during the 50s.

 The true story is that Lita, after much protest, was coerced into recording this cover version of Patti Page by Decca and despite its success she vowed never to sing it again - and she didn't, bless her.
