 The most famous version of this "Chain Gang" (written by Sol Quasha and Herb Yakus) was by famed American jazz singer/songwriter/pianist Bobby Scott (later famous for co-writing "A Taste of Honey" and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"), in late 1955.

F.T.R., this "Chain Gang" I prefer to Cooke's, though they're two different songs altogether.
