xiphophilos ● 20th Feb 2023		Columbia ROX 146 (CAX 7715) claims on the label that is was recorded at All Hallows, Barking by the Tower, and so does Columbia Masterworks – set mm-270. The Philips record, which has completely different matrix numbers, was probably recorded in Günsbach in 1952. Schweitzer for sure spent some time in his hometown Günsbach in Alsace in 1952, the year in which he won the Nobel Peace Prize. There, he became the subject of a documentary film in which he also plays the Günsbach organ: (source)



whitewhale1965 20th Feb 2023		This item says it was recorded at the Parish Church, Gunsbach, Alsace. Do these 'oldies' have different versions? I always thought the artists recorded it once and it was copied and reissued any number of times.
