| | I've added the recording date (11/3/33) to this record's notes. The US release date, which I assume was added by W.B.lbl., should remain where it is now, at July 1935. |

| | So....what should the ultimate recording date be, to be listed officially on this site ? Let's choose one . I choose 1934 originally. Should it remain 1935 or reverted back to '34, or, be set at 1933 ? |

| | The Online (78rpm) Discographical Project always lists recording dates, and although there are many mistakes on that site, the American Decca dates are quite trustworthy.
As said before, US Decca was founded in 1934. Founders were Edward R. Lewis, the head of Decca Records Ltd. of London, Jack Kapp, Milton Rackmil and E.F. Stevens, previously three of US Brunswick's top managers, and Hermann Starr of Warner Bros. Pictures. Recording activity for Decca Records Inc. in the USA commenced in August 1934, see here for much more.
As assumed before as well, "11/3/1933" (meaning 3rd of November, 1933 in Europe) makes much sense as a recording date for a UK band recorded in the UK by British Decca before its US branch was even envisaged. |

| | It's possible 11/3/1933 was the date these tracks were recorded. |

| | GB.6279 is the matrix# of the B-side here dated to 1934. Panachord discs were issued by Decca by that time. |

| | Well, this is certainly a mystery. According to "the online 78rpm discographical project", Decca # 487 was listed of having a release date of 11/3/1933. There was another number listed--GB 6279, which I think is a matrix number ? Could this be a British matrix number. Decca was a British company with an American branch....at least as I understand it. Could it be that the "project" mistakenly fused two different facts together in error ? I don't know.
If any knowledgeable people here know if this disc should have a release date of 1935, please verify, then make a correction. |

| | Decca didn't even come into existence in the US until 1934. Wouldn't this have been more 1935? |
