Images for this one, the first ever King record, uploaded, and the last gap in the image gallery of the early King records filled (someone over there found a copy about one month ago, thanks!).

Again, see my list The King of Hillbilly - King 500 / 1000 Series.

King 513 was quite different, thus its new number. On 513 Grandpa sings solo both sides whereas this record is in old style brother duet style. Masters apparently lost and original record almost unplayable and exceedingly rare.

The first King record, likewise the recording debut of Merle Travis and Grandpa Jones (under pseudonym because they were under contract to WLW Radio). Issued in a small number of about 100 copies, with very poor sound quality. See King 503 for more.

Although possibly written by Grandpa Jones or Merle Travis, the songs were apparently credited to King owner, Syd Nathan. Both sides were re-recorded by Grandpa Jones in summer 1944, issued on King 513, and credited to Nathan then.
