Actually these two sides were originally issued on Brunswick but reissued on Melotone 13130 already in 1934. I guess these later Vocalion reissues of ARC budget label recordings all happened in 1938, like we suggest all OKeh reissues of previous Vocalion numbers happened in 1940. As this is in line with the Vocalion label design here, I have added 1938 as release year.

Voc 2869 - Maybe a monthly catalog supplement gives an indication. Did they reuse from 3500 on backwards, or from 3000 forwards? Or upwards from 3000 with country & blues only, and backwards for some general popular reissues (like Bing, Busse & McCoy)?

This Vocalion label design was used from mid-1938 to 1940. Question is when this reissue was first released. In 1939?

There is an earlier Vocalion with the same catalog number 2869 (Al Kavelin And His Orchestra, "Dancing With My Shadow b/w The Church Bells Told"). That's the one that was released in February 1935.

Voc 2869 #2 - release date is wrong.
