slholzer 9th Jan 2015		These are two interesting bits of pop music history. Ten Gallon Stetson shows Bill Haley with a style already formed and ready to shake up the rock n' roll world, but not, it seems, particularly well-suited to telling western stories. Marty Robbins did that sort of thing so much better! I don't think it's Haley singing on Deal Me A Hand. Whether it is or isn't Haley, the faux Ink Spots sound doesn't seem any better suited to western music than Haley's natural sound, although I might venture a guess that the actual Ink Spots might have made more of it than Haley did. Good, bad or indifferent musically, I've never seen an actual copy of this disc. I would say it's rare and in demand enough to pick up if you see one floating around.
