 Swedish umlauts clearly were a challenge for Linden Records, even though they tried to appeal to the Swedish immigrant community in Washington State.

 "Johan på Snippen" was originally written in 1924 by Gideon Wahlberg as a vaudeville number under the title "Bonnjazz" (Farmer's Jazz"); the first words of the lyrics introduce "Johan på Snippen" (i.e., "Johan From Snippen"), a farmer who has acquired an accordion and is now playing every Saturday so well that everyone comes to listen to him rather than going to their church revival meetings.
