| | @fredhoyt - I've created a new 'Modern' entry for the two label images previously here and moved them to that, and linked the two releases. The original submitter will understand why as they are also a mod. But mods can't change (or move) ownership, credits or ratings, so we worry about doing things like this as some people think we are hi-jacking their entries etc. |

| | Fred - I was trying to clarify on your use of the word 're-issue', and why both labels should probably be given the same release date. Things do take time to get corrected and I hope that the newer comments (from two other mods) have made things clearer. |

| | The Modern label images should have their own entry as the label name changed. This is the method we have used with Regal/Regal Zonophone. They are given separate entries, not added to the same one. |

| | scrough,
OK.. you are a moderator -- shouldn't the Modern Music label scan be in the top position? Is there some reason (that I don't know about) why earlier labels are not placed in front of later labels? If I were to add this to 45cat the mod would re-arrange the labels to match the order of date issued, and I'm absolutely positive that the Modern Music release was issued before the Modern release. Is it too much work to re-arrange? If it is I won't worry about future additions...
Thanks mods.. (fixbutte, Redpunk, scrough) I guess I'm a little too impatient. |

| | Fred - If it was still in the Modern catalogue at the time that the Modern changed its name to Modern Records, then it isn't a reissue, just a continuation of supply. If you look at Regal Zonophone (established 1933) for example, you'll see items going back as far as 1914 that remained in the catalogues of the founding labels until the label was established. |

| | If, as the blurb on top of Modern Music page states, the label was changed to Modern in 1948, then the record in the top position couldn't have been released in 1946. It would have to be a re-issue released after 1948.. wouldn't it? |

| | Added record label scans for the actual Modern Music label version of this release. No composer credits on either side. "B" Track is by Hadda Brooks Trio (on both labels). BB ad looks like they were pushing "..Boogie" as the featured side. I like them both... |

| | There are at least three versions of this disc also, but only one of them is the same as any of the three described in my comments on Modern Music 102. Modern Music must have printed its records in really small lots to have gotten so many different kinds of labels into circulation in their relatively brief life span.
One of the labels is a rather sedate blue one with Modern Music printed in silver over a stiffly straght stave of music at the top. One is similar in design to the blue one, except that silver replaces the blue and red replaces the silver. The third one is the more familiar Modern Music logo written in red musical notes on a more flowing stave of music set against a red background in the upper portion of the label, with the title and credits in red against a white background below. |
