June Carter also recorded a version of this A-side track the same year.

I've posted a UK chart of some kind that shows this single at #24. Notice some other interesting records. I have no idea what that Telephone Song could be at #15.

The video of the Thing here is from my US 78. The UK Jasmine CD "The Original Sound" has a copy that curiously omits the second last verse about St. Peter, and is under 2 min. So that was the UK release?

Here is the first documentation I have found of a chart position for her, in UK.

Also added Billboard review.

Reviewed in Billboard of Nov 25, 1950 and Dec 2, 1950, and typically released some days earlier (in Nov 1950). Actually not listed in Joel Whitburn's Billboard chart books. "The Thing" was a quick cover of the Phil Harris hit.

Update: The Cashbox chart only had 10 positions.
Loran: Who knows. Assume that's a US release. (You don't mean disco)

Anyway she sang it on Ed Sullivan and that's available at Historic Films. To professionals only, for big bucks. Would be good to see.

According to the Teresa Brewer Center this reached #20.
I can't confirm that, it is not in the Billboard book. Possibly Cashbox.
