 Thanks! I wish you could come over and clean the actual disc that nicely too! ;-)

Soon after this recording, by the way, Bob Johnston (1916-1994) changed his name to Bob Johnstone. His birth name was Robert Morton Johnston. At the time he released this and another ARA disc, he was singing with Paul Whiteman's Orchestra on the Philco Summer Hour. After a stint in the merchant marines at the end of the war, he returned to singing, first again with Whiteman, then with Larry Clinton, Harry Soznick, and Shep Fields (1946-1948). He also cut several sides with the Milt Herth Trio in 1947. In 1948 he moved back to his hometown, Nashville. There he continued to perform with the Owen Bradley Orchestra and on local radio.
