Glenn Povey - Pink Floyd Treasures (2012)
Hi Kab, the way round that is to scan it normally, then alter the Canvas size so that it is the right size - this essentially just makes the background bigger. When I do this on GIMP there is also the option to centre the image - I assume other packages have something similar you can click.

Nelson's School Dictionary - Nelson
Information a bit scant on this one - the back pages are missing and I assume that's where relevant information might have been found (there's nothing at the front).

I've assumed the publisher is "Nelson" (we can alter later if needs be) and a little Googling shows this school dictionary was in production for a considerable number of years. This one does have some scribbling in the front dated 1975 so it's no later than that - assume 60s or 70s.

Couldn't find when the first edition was published so a few gaps to fill in here - anyone know any more?

Ian Newton - Pizza Wars (2004)
I've just noticed this has UK and US pricing on the back, but as the publisher is a UK-based small press, I guess it makes sense to list this as UK anyway.

Book
Jackie Annual 1978 - D. C. Thomson (1977)
Note the printing on the front and back is a bit wonky - not sure if it's supposed to be like that or not (I suspect not).

I'd like to point out at this juncture that this belongs to my missus, not me!

Enid Blyton - Good Work, Secret Seven (1993)
Ms. Blyton's first entry on Books World, surprisingly...

Book
Rose Elliot - The Bean Book (1980)
That moment when you think you're not far off finishing entering all your books (not counting the masses of kids one upstairs), and then you remember you've got a load of them in the kitchen as well...!

Andy Cutbill - Albie And The Space Rocket (2010)
Read this with my kids more than once - a fantastic story for little ones :-)

Book
Joan Stimson - Storytime For 5 Year Olds (2012)
I bought this from the chazza for my daughter (for about 10p or so) - it says on the back "Not For Resale", which suggests it was a freebie/giveaway with something or other. Anyone?

Book
Various Authors - 100 Bedtime Stories (1980)
This was given to me as a child by my Nanna and Grandad in 1980 - preserved by Mum to hand over to my own kids, who now own it. They also have "100 Playtime Stories", with the same provenance (coming soon). In good nick, considering - and I remember many of the stories!

Book
Hans Christian Asbosen - The Asbo Fairy Tales (2008)
I'm amused that "Hans Christian Asbosen" has a book on here before the real one :-D

Book
Various Authors - Architexts (2007)
Unusual publication, this. As the Notes say, it was a specially commissioned publication for the Humber Mouth Literature Festival 2007 (annual Hull event). It has cardboard covers with a translucent plastic undersized dust cover - if you remove the dust cover the whole book opens out concertina-fashion. Content-wise, it's a collection of poems ruminating on the architecture of Hull and the Humber.

Stephen King - The Wind Through The Keyhole (2012)
Stunning back cover on this one. Nice.

Book
John Steinbeck - The Grapes Of Wrath (1990)
Ya know, I bought this in a chazza years ago and still haven't read it. I really ought to. I read "Of Mice And Men" at school (as I guess most of us did) and loved it.

Book
Various Authors - Lego: I Love That Minifigure (2015)
My lad got this for Christmas - it's a guide to the various Lego minifigures and is actually a really interesting book - it goes right back into the history of Lego (or the minifigures at least) and is pretty cool.

Book
Milan Kundera - The Unbearable Lightness Of Being (1995)
Clearly there's a price sticker from an Australian bookshop on the back of this (it's obviously travelled a bit) but it is indeed a UK issue (as far as I can tell anyway). I couldn't get the sticker off.

Mary Man-Kong - Barbie Amazing Makeover (2006)
Yes, apparently there really IS an author called Mary Man-Kong. Just...awesome.

Paul Stapleton - The Weekend Starts There (2008)
Paul Stapleton is also the frontman of Brighton bands Pog and (until their recent farewell gig) Anal Beard.

Official Barbie Annual 2014 - Pedigree (2013)
Heh, almost certainly (or so I'm told). The kids sorted out a load of books yesterday to go to the chazza so I'm scanning them first, hence my activity over the past 24 hours or so. Though this one had to go in the recycling bin as it'd been scribbled in by girl child.

Official Barbie Annual 2014 - Pedigree (2013)
I'd just like to make it abundantly clear that this is my daughter's property!

Glen Singleton - Gross Jokes (2004)
How strange - I submitted this just as someone else submitted a book by Andrew Gross. They're next to each other on the home page - LOL, as they say.

I meant Penguin Popular Classics, which I've now changed the publisher to on this one.

Iain Banks - The Business (2000)
Yeah, I never got into it and left it unfinished. I'll give it another go someday.

Book
Edgar Allan Poe - Selected Tales (1994)
It doesn't have The Raven in it - this sticks to his short stories (as opposed to poems).

It does however include "The Tell-Tale Heart" which I read as a young lad and which remains one of the most phenomenal (and influential, to me as an occasional writer myself) pieces of writing I've ever read.

I think listing them as "Penguin Popular Classics" is a good idea - there are tonnes of these about and it would be nice to have them grouped together. They used to sell them in Waterstones for 99p as I recall - I had "Tender Is The Night" and "Crime And Punishment" as well but I seem to have got rid of those two as they're not on the shelf anymore.

Book
Edgar Rice Burroughs - Out Of Time's Abyss (1963)
Read this when I was a lad and loved it. I had a scraggy copy my Mum's partner gave me - not sure what happened to it in the end (it probably fell apart) but it was on my bookshelf for a good few years!

Matthias Herr - Matthias Herr's Heavy Metal Lexikon Vol. 4 (1994)
Presumably that's the author on the back... I wouldn't like to meet him in a dark alley :-D

Robert Edric - Cradle Song (2004)
Superlative crime thriller set in Hull. Highly recommended reading. The other two books in the trilogy are great as well, but this for me is the best of the three.

Book
Paul Whalley - The Mitchell Beazley Pocket Guide To Butterflies (1981)
I've got the "Birds" one (also on the site) which also stretches the definition of "pocket" guide somewhat!

Book
Jon Ronson - Them (2002)
Not sure the Class is quite right on this one - it puts it in "Religion & State" - it certainly touches on religion (as you might expect) but not exclusively. Bit of a tricky one.
