OldMod67 22nd Sep 2023		Book Ray Bradbury - Death Is A Lonely Business (1986)	A signed first edition of this novel was privately printed by the Franklin Library: Leather bound, Accented in 22kt gold. Printed on archival paper with gilded edges. Moire fabric endpapers with a silk ribbon page marker. Smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints. Full leather with hubbed spine.

Introduction by Greg Bear. Commentary by Ted White Contains all 35 adaptations (both unofficial and authorised), grouped by source material, not chronological. Chapters also include Ray and the Pulps, Ray and Readers Write and (by Ben Saunders) Love and Theft, about the original unauthorised use of Bradbury's work and Artist Biographies. I won't create a new entry, just mark this one as owned, as aside from the pricing, it's identical. Same SBN, so really the listings dated 1971, 1973 and 1979 all could be displayed on one entry, being reprints (as with vinyl LPs)

OldMod67 11th Feb 2023		Book Craig Brown - One, Two, Three, Four (2020)	When the paperback of this came out the following year, it was chosen as our non fiction book of the month. The cover photograph was taken in August 1963 on the roof of The Palace Court Hotel, Westover Road, Bournemouth. It is currently a Premier Inn and I usually walk on past it on the way to work. Additional note: This book won the 2020 Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction. Formerly the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction, as a celebration of twenty-five years of the book prize a panel are currently reading all previous winners, to decide a Winner of Winners. Shortlist of six announced 9/3/23, winner announced 27/4/23.

OldMod67 10th Feb 2023		Book Katherine Bebo - 111 Places In Bournemouth That You Shouldn't Miss (2022)	Part of '111 places' series. The same author also compiled one on Poole in 2019, one of the most popular in my local interest section at the shop. Most tend to be 'pictures from old Poole' and the like, but this series has area highlights along with current photographs.
