OldMod67 2nd Feb 2023		Book Daily Echo - Victory (2005)	Publications of this kind, from a news source, were assigned an ISBN. Others were not and when sold at our store had to be assigned a dummy ISBN (by me) to be processed at till points. For example, Echoes of the Century, entered on this site as a magazine.

OldMod67 31st Jan 2023		Book William Nicholas - The Bobby Kennedy Nobody Knows (1967)	JimEss- like a lot of non-UK books, I've not seen this one before. Books published while the subjects were still alive can be fascinating, written at a time before more seedy elements are made public. But sometimes, especially with paperbacks with a gossip angle, there can be hints at things that make more sense later. I'll add this to the Kennedy list, thank you.

I got the paperback issues back then and being the only copies I had, read them cover to cover (countless times). Over the years the situation has obviously worsened and when I pulled them out to read on Dec 8th/9th P19-24, including the first page of The Fat Growth on Eric Hearble completely fell out!

Mottram, by courtesy of Christopher Wood Gallery, London/Bridgeman Art Gallery' This is an 1857 hand coloured engraving, the cover actually showing a reverse of the original image. A nice gloss finish here making a fantastic cover for what was a £1 classic!

This copy (not in the slipcase) measures 190mm x 129mm and has 313pp plus blanks and a page of publisher contacts. If a member has a finished copy, please still submit an image, which can replace the current main picture, thanks.

OldMod67 25th May 2022		Book Jules Verne - The Begum's Fortune (2003)	So, as per ppint's comment, is there a way of manually linking with an alternate title (so common with Verne books)? The 2014 edition of this story, for example, a superior translation was published in USA with a title variant, but won't automatically be grouped on adding to the database. Obviously we need to enter the title on the book for accuracy of entry and can't enter by title of its original language as searching will be hampered accordingly. Another option would be to link as a comment, in a similar way to some of the series titles are, for example how ppint did for the Man From U.N.C.L.E. paperbacks.

OldMod67 7th Mar 2022		Book Martin Luther King Jr - The Autobiography Of Martin Luther King, Jr. (2000)	Thanks for the review, Magic Marmalade. I read it first a long time ago, back to back with Robert Dallek's book on JFK, An Unfinished Life. I only own the proof of that, but a finished copy is on 45spaces, JFK World. I found both a great read, especially with their history and all to short lives. Your review is very much how I saw it and I've read the MLK book a few times since. I knew some of his life but no idea of the Gandhi influence. Certainly a 'must read' for anyone interested in the civil rights struggle or even a character study of someone who really made a difference before forced to cease.

OldMod67 20th Feb 2022		Book E. V. Odle - The Clockwork Man (2020)	Being a very cheap (less than £2!) I actually used it as an extra to qualify for free postage. I expected errors of course, it is a POD edition and sure enough there are a few typos. Not spoiling my enjoyment reading it though.

I remember getting The Love You Make and there was a bit of an outcry about its contents, although I thought it was quite a good read. I won't be going for this one though...
