First UK paperback edition. Novelization of the 7-episode 1963-64 Doctor Who storyline, "The Daleks", teleplay by Terry Nation (also known as "The Dead Planet"). Title is as per title page; cover abbreviates "Dr. Who" and spine title is simply, "Dr. Who". Illustrations by Peter Archer. Later republished by Target Books as Doctor Who and the Daleks. Cover depicts William Hartnell as the First Doctor. 160 pages.

annaloog 20th Feb 2025		Since "Doctor Who And The Daleks" is the title as it appears on the cover, the original title ("... Exciting Adventure with ...") has been added to the English Title field to provide the link with older editions. All the newer editions should now be linked with only this one having the original title. (this comment is from another edition of this book)

23skidoo 30th Sep 2020		Later retitled Doctor Who and the Daleks when republished by Target Books, and later Target editions adjust the title further to Doctor Who: The Daleks. The 1964 Avon edition I have seen erroneously referred to as a tie-in with the Peter Cushing film, Dr. Who and the Daleks, but it actually predates the making of that film by a year or so.
