Book
Notes First edition. Written by Dorst from an idea by Abrams, but Abrams is credited as co-author. Consists of a fictional novel entitled Ship of Theseus by "V. M. Straka" which is made up to look like an old library book (complete with library filing code sticker on spine), with the story with the book augmented by handwritten notes and inserted ephemera between the pages. Initially old in a cardboard slipcase on which publication details are printed and the authors are credited on a sticker that wraps around the front of the box to hold the book in; the book itself only "breaks character" on the inside back cover where the book's normal copyright page would be placed is instead a fake one based upon the fictional book publisher listed as Winged Shoes Press and a publication year of 1949. Second publisher credited: Melcher Media and the book was also associated with Bad Robot. 458 pages, plus ephemera pieces. Images
