23skidoo 18th Sep 2022		According to Wikipedia, John Norman is a pen name for John Lange, a philosophy professor of all things. Correction submitted on the name. BTW ppint may be amused/horrified to hear he published Book 37 in the series just two weeks ago at the age of 91.

carey jeggs 19th Nov 2017		Thomas M.Disch wrote a short story called Planet Of The Rapes which was intended as a parody of the Gor books.Unfortunately it turned into what it took off from.



nanocyar 17th Nov 2017		I agree with ppint, this is a series to be avoided. Unfortunately once you start buying a series it is difficult to stop.



ppint. 17th Nov 2017		Rated 7/10 #1 of far too many; they start off as competent sub-burroughsian, with a little idiocy, rapidly start filtering in heavier stupidity along the lines of "all modern women need for true happiness is to be enslaved by a powerful man, so they can be fucked sufficiently hard and often they can forget all the nonsense of trying to use their brains" - and they manage to go *downhill* from there! the first three are worth the time taken to read them, but do not continue very much further. yhbw! 5 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?

ppint. 17th Sep 2023		actually bears the appropriate nine-digit standard book number, in the system that became part of the international standard book number system by the creation of the english language identifer, 0, and its notional prepension to all issued and still-current numbers already issued - or actual prepension in the event of the editions - or their dust-jackets - being reprinted thereafter; entered as the probably non-extant isbn because someone's deleting the correct and compatible sbns, thus reducing the information in, and the usefulness of, bookcat. (this comment is from another edition of this book)
