JPGR&B SUBS 20th Feb 2017		MPL has always been an odd issue. When McCartney's contract with EMI expired in January 1976 his subsequent singles and albums continued to use the Parlophone catalogue number series but Parlophone was nowhere to be seen on the label, although the label carried either an MPL logo or wording (thus confusing people no end!). Discographers tend to refer to the releases in the UK as Parlophone releases because they use the Parlophone catalogue number series. As for that Egyptian label, that looks like someone in Egypt had no clue whatsoever as to how to treat a McCartney release. I've deleted MPL in the label credits above.



gregs45s SUBS 20th Feb 2017		I see,thanks TP,now that i look at the Wings albums that are on under MPL,that i pointed out that are already on 45 Worlds,it certainly does appear that there are no UK/US ones,they seem to be Sweden,Germany,Yugoslavia,Belgium,and the Netherlands ,thanks again for that,will now know if it comes up again :)



TopPopper 20th Feb 2017		I concur with JPGR&B - MPL is McCartney's company but it's not a label, at least not in the UK/US. It seems MPL did have labels elsewhere though - Like here.



gregs45s SUBS 20th Feb 2017		@JPGR&B.I was unsure on this one,as i don't have much of Paul McCartney's stuff,are we sure it's not a sublabel?,Discogs has the MPL logo without the "communications" bit underneath as a sublabel of "MPL Communicatios" and "MPL Communications" as the holding company,confusing!,thats why i wasn't sure,if it isn't a sublabel,some of these entries on 45 Worlds will also need to be looked at(Paul McCartney and related);)
