The album's first release on CD. On the day of its release UK record shop chain HMV produced a special limited edition 12" 4 CD Boxed Set including:

A Hard Days Night
Beatles For Sale

This set had a catalogue number of BEA CD 25, and was limited to 2,500 copies.

The CD was also included in the 15 CD Boxed Set The Beatles Box.

Released in the USA in a cardboard long box.

gregs45s SUBS 7th Nov 2020		@goodbear66 Hi, just looking through the many variants of this release on Discogs, and your 1993 Disc variation (image 336872) with "Stereo" is a misprint, not worth a bundle though unfortunately, the median price just being £3.62, mind you, hang onto it for another 20 years and who knows:)



albert 14th May 2017		Added a clipping of the news item from Melody Maker 28 Feb 1987 regarding the press event for the release of the first 4 CDs (reads like it was a very sober do). Note that 2 new manufacturing facilities needed to be built to meet the demand for Beatles CDs.
