mikerhyl SUBS 30th Sep 2021		CD Album Petula Clark - Kaléïdoscope (2003)	It’s my autographed digipack copy here and I bought it in Paris in 2003 when Petula was doing a signing in the record shop near the Louvre .I am not aware of any British stores selling this release and the German version was a completely different release mostly in the German and English language .I also bought the regular 2cd pack there which also had a French sticker on it My take on it is that although this was a joint Sanctusry/BMG France release ,Sanctuary in the U.K. did most of the work ,but this was mainly for France and Belgium not the U.K. because in 2002 Petula had a Top 20 album with a 2cd Ultimate Collection featuring many of the songs on here The sticker was obviously also used in French speaking territories such as Belgium and Switzerland but it may well have been sent to other countries too especially the Netherlands without the sticker ,and of course probably Amazon U.K. may have obtained copies . In France this compilation hit #1 on the Mid price chart ..will add a pic of that where it states distribution was Castle (former name for Sanctuary) Distribution /BMG !!

mikerhyl SUBS 12th Oct 2020		CD Album Petula Clark - Christmas In London (2020)	For any major Petula Clark fan and collector like myself to get tracks unheard since they were broadcast for well over 60 years is a real treat especially as I had not heard them before ..the link with Petula to “My Favourite Things “ is that she starred as Maria in a highly successful version of The Sound of music in London’s West End for 18 months in 1981 ,but this version was from the 1950’s .

(2006)	Kathy’s material was a rather mixed bag guided by her far older manager and lover bandleader Bert Ambrose who chose far too many old songs for her .To think he turned down “You're my world” later a number 1 for Cilla Black The way of love is perhaps her best recording but totally ignored in the UK . It made the lower reaches of the Billboard American top 100 and easy listening top 40..who knows how her fortunes might have changed if Ambrose had let her promote it properly there .

Europe EP in early 1965 .

I know some people have a preference for mono ,but I think the stereo in this case sounds very good and like the fact they used the British cover!
