ppint. 26th Feb 2017		CD Album Uriah Heep - Look At Yourself / Very 'eavy, Very 'umble (1988)	"that's original" seems to be a castle communications cd series, cat# TFO , for = 1 through at least 21 (though i've not found every cat# along the way); however, it appears to also be a castle communications lp label, cat# TFOLP , for = 1 through at least 25 (again, i've not found examples of all), and a cassette series, both overlapping the castle communications cd series most inconsiderately. 45worlds.com maybe should have a warning attached to cd, lp & tape instances of the series/label, advising of this and also saying which it is treated as, in which world. . . ? (the origin of the cat# prefix seems to've been the fly records, later cube records, "TOOFA " cat#ed series, reissuing originally single albums in one double, gatefold-sleeved release; but the TFO cd series, and the TFOLP * label, were/are not constrained to releasing titles from these vinyl labels' back catalogues: almost anyaudiothing to which castle communications've picked up the rights seems to be fair game, if there're two - or more - single albums that can be so packaged.)

ppint. 10th Feb 2017		CD Album Trees - On The Shore (1996)	sony entertainment (uk) ltd. columbia rewind series disc bears "sacem" logo, & "mcps/biem/sdrm": so it should be reflagged yeurppean. front of crystal cd case bears "sony music / rewind / the collector's series" once peelable mainly dull dark brick-red label, first & third lines in yellow, 2nd line in much larger font, in white (i.e. left unprinted).
ppint. 9th Feb 2017		CD Album Trees - The Garden Of Jane Delawney (2008)	Review the remastering (and original mastering of the bonus tracks) of the two trees' albums by bias boshell & adrian hardy have - deliberately - been done to a pretty different sound from previous remasterings: do not throw away or sell your earlier cds until after you've compared them - you may want to keep both! 5 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
ppint. 9th Feb 2017		CD Album Trees - The Garden Of Jane Delawney (2008)	this remastered, expanded reissue of "trees" is dedicated: "in fondest memory of stephen unwin brown (1948-2008) who was so much more da man than we fools had ever realised. inspired teacher, inspired drummer, consummate friend." regarding track 12, recorded in july 2008: "black widow is a song of bias's written around the time of the garden of jane delawney but never recorded by us up until now. the remaining four of us gathered to put this down in july this year. with thanks to mark roberts on drums and his sympathy in trying to recreate how unwin might have tackled it." regarding track 13: "similarly little black cloud (you'll find a bbc version of this on the reissued on the shore) is a very early song by bias which we continually toyed with and never committed to. way too beautiful to ignore any further, we finally decided to commit to this instrumental version recorded in june 2008." of the two demo versions: "sadly the original multitracks for this album have long been lost, consigned evidently to the skip at some point." of she moved thro' the fair, track 10: "an early demo that must have been recorded at bond street in august or september of 1969, with the addition of pipe organ and the unusual effect of an entirely flat lead guitar track. we had yet to explore the use of microtones but got significantly better at this on the road in later times." of pretty polly, track 11: "...recorded in bond street in august 1969 and we'd evidently not worked out quite how to extend the banjo into the break, other than simply by employing a pair of scissors. celia's ascending vocals throughout the break are, however, truly extraordinary. we're not aware she ever sung across a lead guitar break again, from this moment forward." - from notes on additional tracks, july 2008

ppint. 7th Feb 2017		CD Album Charles Aznavour - Duos Best Of 3 (2014)	duetting partners definitely are not a part of the composition being sung by a solo artist :-) whether the site automagically equates (or translates) "avec"s yr hmbl srppnt. knoweth not; but that's essentially a software problem, whereas inputting e.g. just "marvin gaye" in the artist field everywhere the artists singing were "marvin gaye and mary wells" or "marvin gaye and tammi terrell" would definitely be giving 45/ep/lp/cd/tape world incorrect data - and software couldn't automagically correct that. so yes, it's a circumstance where information given in one way on the lp sleeve (or whatever) does need to be juggled around for putting into the websites' databases correctly. searching for artist = "charles aznavour" will also bring up items for "charles aznavour and $foo" iiuc - this happens with other artists yr hmbl srppnt.'s searched for, so i think it's automagical - so the main effects of inputting his duet partners into the artist field will be to make the tracks also come up in searches on their names, as well as searches for the duetting pairs°. ° - yr hmbl srppnt. does not know how smart the search is - whether it translates "avec"s etc, and also whether it matters in which order the duetting partners are named

ppint. 1st Feb 2017		CD Album Various Artists - Legends Of Rock, Volume 1 & 2 (2007)	not distributed together; volume one: matrix-equivalent number NN-9079 (no cat# on disc) fifteen tracks (only 7 of which are listed above by the contributor); composers of first seven tracks being there also given for the contributor's convenience; distributed free of charge in first pocket of two-pocketed card sleeve, bears cat# CAT15, with empty pocket bearing track listing of the fifteen tracks together with composer credits for the first seven tracks) scheduled to appear on: volume two (only 7 of which are listed above by the contributor), distributed in a single-pocket cared sleeve free of charge with the following sunday's newspaper.
ppint. 29th Jan 2017		CD Album Kevin Ayers - Original Album Series (2014)	philmh: yr hmbl srppnt.'ll check again before parting with this - i'm currently trying to give it to a (frequently infuriating) friend, as i've replaced it with a copy of the extended cd - 'm pretty sure i copied the information correctly, and checked through it before sending to the 45universe, bicbw. edit: no, i was wrong, and you are right. (p) 2003 and © 2014 on the disc, and on the rear of the card sleeve it is. and both credited to parlophone records ltd, in the one line. and i still think that, as it is factually incorrect - parlophone records was one label of emi records ltd. (and of the gramophone company ltd. before that), until the division of emi records ltd. into suitably-sized (and newly-named) pieces prior to umg's divestiture programme - and not even the label upon it was released - it should credit the compilation's original copyright holder, or at least the original label - and then that of this (p)ublication of it, together with its (p) date. (the repro artwork also gives the (p) 1970 date of the original lp on the rear, but without attributing it to anyone (or any thing).) - would you care to submit the correction of my mistake - if i do, you won't be credited - even if yr hmbl srppnt. specifically requests you be.
ppint. 28th Jan 2017		CD Album Kevin Ayers - Original Album Series (2014)	the ©2003 parlophone records ltd. is implicitly incorrect: this cd compilation would have been ©2003 emi records ltd, and have been transferred together with emi records ltd. initially to universal music group - and then on as part of the parlophone records group of the reorganised emi records to warner communications, inc. in 2013 as part of the divestiture programme required of universal by the european union's competition regulations: the ©2014 parlophone records ltd. a warner music group company line would be the reliable date for the warner music group's parlophone release..

ppint. 25th Jan 2017		CD Album Everly Bros - The Historic Reunion Concert, Vol.2 (2000)	gnag: thank-you. carlton home entertainment, various stages in pickwick, and various stages in the hallmark label all seem intermixed, and to provide very limited and not necessarily reliable information variously on lps, compact discs, and their sleeves - and trying to make sense of what's actually occurred will take time and communication. my copies of the two separately issued hallmark label, carlton home entertainment limited volumes are as i've described, with no further information upon them. it would appear that vol.2 was issued at least twice, without much reference to any earlier release by hallmark/carlton on either, save for the (p)1995 on the © 2000 re-release that you have. "luvverly!" - the philadelphia spread tv advert blonde.

ppint. 24th Jan 2017		CD Album The Fortunes - Storm In A Teacup / Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again (1996)	in fact, two capitol albums. (as opposed to "capital". . .) (& submitted as a correction) the fortunes' post-decca recording career is mildly surreal, and more than slightly schizoid - but on the side of the musicbusinessmegacorpses, not the group: signing to liberty/united artists in the uk (etc.), they were placed on the united artists uk label. the uk liberty label was abandoned and artists not "let go" were transferred to ua but, meanwhile, their recordings having been initially released on the merkin united artists label, the fortunes were transferred from that label onto the world pacific label - because merkin liberty closed down their merkin united artists label. . . - so despite being released by bits of the same minimegamusiccorpse, they were still on different labels in the minimegaportfolio on the two sides of the pond. . . - after the label managers for the parent transamerica corporation's buyout of the mini-group with the help of emi's money went wrong - they lost elo to jet records, and the jet records merkin distribution contract that provided most or all of their operating profit with it - emi foreclosed on the debt, and took full control of liberty/united artists/world pacific/sunset, beginning to integrate them into merkin capitol records and onto the capitol label (aside of the sunset budget line label) worldwide. - and with a contract with capitol-emi signed, the fortunes' 1967-on recordings seemed set for unification on the major label, and the pop vocal harmony group for greater things to come. . .

ppint. 17th Jan 2017		CD Album Dory Langdon - My Heart Is A Hunter (2014)	cat# is in fact CR9002, not CR9 002 (submitted as a correction). dory langdon went on to marry andré previn; she wrote a number of further songs, some together with him, including the theme for the film, valley of the dolls; they later separated, and she gained far greater fame as the superb singer-songwriter, dory previn.
ppint. 17th Jan 2017		CD Album The Byrds - Transmission Impossible (2015)	"eat to the beat" and this triple-cd set are probably usa, possibly international; "transmission impossible" seems to be the album title, but it may also be a series name, as more than one eat to the beat cd set (by other artists) has this title. no copyright, publication or contact information whatsoever is given on the three discs or the triple digipak. the composer credit given to disc 1 track 12 appears to be incorrect, but is as given on the digipakaging: on disc 2 track 7 the composer credit for the same song is given as "guthrie". triple cd as indicated above: tracks 1-01 - 1-19 = disc one; tracks 1-21 - 1-30 plus 2-01 - 2-07 = disc two; tracks 2-11 - 2-27 = disc three. the medleys are counted each as one track on the triple digipakaging, but this confuses the attributions of the correct composers to the separate songs. does anycatter out there know aught more about "eat to the beat" ?
