ppint. 11th Aug 2021		CD Album Various Artists - Sounds Of The Summer (2003)	#xinnia_lauper (if you're anywhere out there) i've just picked up a copy of the version you reported three and a half years ago: since you found it first, do you want to enter it here on cd cat ?° ° - it matters to some catters, so yr hmbl srppnt. feels you ought to have the chance; on the reverse, it bears the equivalent of a matrix number, 'DISCTRONICS SUMMERCD 01' (and then some possible characters too small for me to have a hope of reading, on an inner ring)
ppint. 11th Aug 2021		CD Album Various Artists - Perfect Sunday Volume Two (2004)	probably preceded during the previous week by ''... volume one'' in the sister newspaper, the daily express, which likely came in a twin-pocket gatefold-hinged card sleeve ready to have this disc transferred into it; but this cd, ''perfect sunday volume two'', was released and distributed separately in its own, single-pocket card sleeve, and may still be found separately - as this copy was in help the aged charity shop, carnforth, 9/8/2021.

Artists (2005)	the following sunday, sister newspaper, the sunday mirror included, free of charge, the cd album ''the best of.. groups'', with ten known groups' and five ''bonus'' unknown groups' further tracks in its own single-pocket card sleeve; the second pocket of this twin-pocket, gatefold hinged card sleeve for ''the best of.. artists'' is designed to house this second disc, and announces ''the best of.. artists & groups'', but the two cds were released and dustributed separately, and are still quite commonly found alone - as this copy of ''the best of.. artists'' was, in carnforth help the aged charity shop, 9/8/2021.

Track 2-3 title has been amended to “Signed DC” (originally “Signed D.C.'”)

ppint. 16th May 2021		CD Album White Noise - An Electric Storm (2007)	the bbc's hour-and-a-half long programme on delia derbyshire's life and work is being reshown on bbc4 atm, and should be available now (or shortly) on the bbc.co.uk catch-up site for those with a current uk-of-gb-&-ni tv licence (or exempt from the same). recommended.
ppint. 13th May 2021		CD Album Skip James - Cypress Grove Blues (2004)	Review i bought this cd to get a copy of one track i heard someone - almost certainly john peel - play from an import lp in 1968: "cypress grove blues". all i knew about it (because i didn't realise I'd want the information until after he'd started playing the track) was that it was "delta blues" - which didn't mean anything to record shop staff in north london, newark-on-trent, kendal, durham, or newcastle. (it probably didn't inspire confidence either, that i said i thought the track was called "cypress tree blues", and it was really old...) - just by chance, i happened to spot this skip james cd - at a reasonable price - and knew i had naught by this classic bluesman - and there it was, not just the title, but in the track-listing on the back of the digipak! - and the rest of the tracks on this album are pretty fine, too... classic delta blues from one of the original great bluesmen as lived into the recording era. 3 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?

Cale - Anyway The Wind Blows -- The Anthology (1997)	it's perhaps further complicated by his apparently actually being known by his friends as ''jj'', ''j-j'', ''JJ'' or ''J-J'' - which being unclear, as it's spoken - though not spelled - as ''jayjay''°; but site practice laid down by mods has been that even where there is clearly no space between an author, artist or composer's initials, we should enter one space. (° - source: rocky frisco, ex-afper and proud owner of the signed mini, ''the luggage'', and incidentally a musician who played in j. j. cale's band.)

ppint. 8th May 2021		CD Album Carly Simon - Spoiled Girl (1985)	headline news - "mod confesses to being only semi-divine - shock, horror!" - ? *g* - no worries, mm: yr hmbl srppnt.'s always presumed this, as a direct consequence of (most) mods being sprung from human stock - "and even jove nods"... - and the alert (& awake) may occasionally spot an error of fact committed to this store of disturbed electrons by yrs trly, who will never rise to the ranks of the semi-divine, too; i try to remove such as fast as i can upon reviewing what i've posted - and preferably before posting, of course - but some slip through, nevertheless. but - i'm guessing - the 45cat & worlds grew larger far faster than anyone expected, putting ever greater pressure upon the semi-divine-time available; and sometimes things slip through.. ..for whatever reason(s).. ..so it seemed worthwhile spelling out a least-energy (most efficient) order for approaching the job - as yr hmbl srppnt. did after identifying the fact that, despite possessing varied alpha-prefixes, all beltona singles belonged in one numeric sequence of cat#s, and how to sort them on a computer using a shriek! (or an asterisk) in a regexp, rather than laboriously re-keying (retyping) the entire label's list's cat#s, artists, titles, composers, etc. by hand*...
