You meant a comma, but I've corrected it anyway. I've also removed a duplicate entry for this album.

Kate Bush - The Whole Story (1986)
Update to self: the Note probably means that there was no indication of who the producer was on the re-recorded vocal, so I've amended the Note to reflect that better.

I still don't understand why she felt the need to issue a version with a re-recorded vocal; after all, the original was an absolute classic.

She did the same thing with this a few years later and - to my mind at least - completely destroyed Moments Of Pleasure by completely re-working it.

Various Artists - Mojo Presents There Is A Light That Never Goes Out (2012)
I think it was attempt at one of those 'gritty northern' tropes that designers and meeja types in London tend to go in for. At least The Smiths (who had a lot of sleeves with images which had no connection to the actual music) were actually from 'the north'.

Kate Bush - The Whole Story (1986)
From the Notes: "but there's no indication of any difference with regard to the re-recorded vocal track on this release."

Then why does it say 'new vocal' on the booklet, the rear card and the disc(s)? I think that part of the Note needs to be deleted.

The Who - Sell Out (1995)
Just noticed that 'perspiration' is spelled wrong on the caption to the Townshend photo. It has this in common with the vinyl edition of twenty years later (see 3715609).

Hawkwind - In Search Of Space (2001)
It's always been an issue with that album. I think it's down to people only reading what they expect to be there (you wouldn't expect to see that 'X', for instance, added to the fact that it's partially obscured by the artwork), and that 'error' then being duplicated in all sorts of ways (in discographies and other listings, for example).

Steve Martin - Comedy Is Not Pretty! (1998)
If what's on Discogs (yeah, I know) is to be believed, this was reissued twice in short order. The one listed here is was issued as part of the Flashback series of budget-priced releases, while the one you described in your comment was issued on the Warner Archives re-issue imprint.

I think a separate entry for your disc would be warranted.

Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise (2005)
I've finally got around to buying this, and let me tell you that it's an astounding album! A variety of styles played and produced to bring out the best in some high-quality material.

I'm going through his back catalogue on YouTube at the moment, and there are at least two other albums which I'll probably be buying soon; he's a most remarkable artist.

Nuclear Blast is a German label, but it seems there were a lot of reissues from another source trying to pass themselves off as NB releases. Given what you've said about the insert, it's possible this is one of those.

"Wrexham, England"!!!!? Bloody cheek!

Actually, The Windings was only a fifteen-minute walk from where I'm sitting now. Quite a few bands recorded there, including Chumbawamba (Disc Two of this) and Hecate Enthroned.

Sparks - A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip (2020)
Review
It might have been thought impossible for the Mael brothers to have met the standards of 2017's Hippopotamus, but they have not merely succeeded, they have exceeded the quality of that album.

All the Sparks trademarks are there: the varied musical styles and influences (Left Out In The Cold is in a distinctly Latin style, The Existental Threat is based on klezmer); the oblique takes on reality (Stravinksky's Only Hit postulates what would have happened if Igor had decided to write pop songs instead, for example); and the glorious battiness (Lawnmower, Onomato Pia).

But there is a surprising melancholy underpinning many of the tracks Pacific Standard Time being the standout example. Perhaps this is what we can expect from a couple of septuaginarians.

The musicianship and production are excellent, with the brothers clearly knowing who they can bring in to provide tight and dynamic playing.

The outstanding track is iPhone, in which - in turn - Adam, Abraham Lincoln and Mrs Steve Jobs wrestle with the difficulty of trying to communicate with their audiences (Eve, the crowd at Gettysburg and Mr Steve Jobs respectively), hence the chorus, "Put that fucking iPhone down and listen to me!"

Quite possibly Sparks' strongest ever album and a sure-fire classic.

To me, it suggest that Fantasy had the original issue but that this one is released by Carrere. Suggest no change.

Agreed. BAR was, though, a subsidiary of Marginal. I've changed this release to 'BAR' and 'BAR' to Belgium.

That flag has also been used as the flag of the Council of Europe. We needed something to represent the continent (the CoE has 47 member states at time of writing) for pan-continental releases.

Thing is, the tracks could have been recorded in '04, but not released until the latter year.
