TopPopper 25th Jun 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1987) | Bargain!
TopPopper 13th May 2017 | | CD AlbumGeorge Harrison - All Things Must Pass (2001) | This seems to be a duplicate of this, unless I'm mistaken. The sticker on the back is different. I propose (1) we merge them, retaining the image with the sticker, and (2) on all editions, we change the label name from Gno to Gnom. It's written with the letters Gn followed by an Om symbol and is clearly a gag based on the gnomes on the front cover. I'm sure it's meant to read as Gnom.

TopPopper 13th May 2017 | | CD AlbumSyd Barrett - Barrett (2010) | I fail to see why Parlophone should be listed as part of the label at all. Parlophone is only mentioned in the small print, as owners of the copyright. That doesn't make them part of the label - Harvest alone is the label, quite clearly.
TopPopper 9th May 2017 | | CD AlbumBob Dylan - The Times They Are A-Changin' (1991) | What's with the production on this album anyway? I've not yet heard a copy where a selection of the tracks aren't muffled and bassy - I even bought the remaster specifically because of this, but it's just the same. It's blot on a classic album.

TopPopper 26th Apr 2017 | | CD AlbumVarious Artists - Now That's What I Call Music! 58 (2004) | How does my yellow-ised version look? If OK, I'll replace the original.

TopPopper 26th Apr 2017 | | CD AlbumVarious Artists - Now That's What I Call Music! 57 (2004) | We have a tag and a list going. I suppose that's fine.

TopPopper 22nd Apr 2017 | | CD AlbumGeorge Harrison - Completed Rarities Vol. 2 (1990) | What's going on with track 03? Is this George playing the Beatles' track alone?

TopPopper 3rd Apr 2017 | | CD AlbumPaul McCartney - Suitable For Flaming Pie (1997) | What's the deal with the bonus track?
TopPopper 24th Mar 2017 | | CD AlbumMortimer - On Our Way Home (2017) | Now I have this, It's fascinating to hear after all these years. Two of Us/On Our Way Home, I was initially disappointed by due to the vocal, but it's starting to grow on me. Mortimer didn't have the advantage of hearing the Let It Be version and based theirs on a Get Back rehearsal (hence the odd mis-translation of the lyric, eg, Longer than the road that stretches out of here). Track 2, I Didn't Know, is a great track - the arrangement reminds me of James Taylor, Something's Wrong.

TopPopper 25th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - Thirty Days (2009) | I think I prefer these to the whole A/B Road set. On the principle that less is more, by cutting out the superfluous chat and what-have-you, they're more listenable as rehearsal tapes.
TopPopper 25th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - 1967-1970 (Disc 1) (2002) | Here's the other half.
TopPopper 24th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumMortimer - On Our Way Home (2017) | They issued the Lon & Derrek Van Eaton album too, a couple of years ago. Maybe they'll come up with another at some point - Elephant's Memory haven't found their way onto CD yet...
TopPopper 20th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumPaul McCartney And Wings - Band On The Run (1985) | I concur with JPGR&B - MPL is McCartney's company but it's not a label, at least not in the UK/US. It seems MPL did have labels elsewhere though - Like here.
TopPopper 15th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumMortimer - On Our Way Home (2017) | Wow! Looking forward to this one.
TopPopper 7th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - The Beatles (1995) | Should this be considered a bootleg?
TopPopper 7th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumGerry And The Pacemakers - How Do You Like It? / Ferry Cross The Mersey (2002) | I've edited this one - that's about 15 I've done now. There are 60 or 70 still to go.
TopPopper 7th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumGerry And The Pacemakers - How Do You Like It? / Ferry Cross The Mersey (2002) | Another one inside the case. This is getting pretty silly now. Janie, you already have a scan of the front of the booklet - you've uploaded it here. Use it as the main image, and stop uploading case scans, please. There is a site style and you're ignoring requests to adhere to it.
TopPopper 4th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 7 (1962-1969) (2000) | OK - I've changed them. All the Unsurpassed Masters are now listed as boots.
TopPopper 4th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Hollies - The Hollies At Abbey Road 1963-1966 (1997) | Seconded. There are now a stack of image edits needed - surely it's just as easy to scan the front of the insert as it is to scan it in the case?
TopPopper 4th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - Revolver (1987) | I'd say Parlophone is the label, in keeping with the original UK product. EMI is the parent label and Apple is on all modern Beatles product from cups to jigsaw puzzles. The Parlophone logo is prominent and has no purpose other than to indicate the label.
TopPopper 4th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 7 (1962-1969) (2000) | I would propose we make all the Unsurpassed Masters listed as boots.
I would also propose that we make all the product on the CD-Maximum label into boots as well. Take their edition of Please Please Me / With the Beatles for example. It includes the group's version of "Love of the Loved" which was never available legally anywhere in the world. It's a classic bootleg-style selection.
I'm open to arguments on those "official" albums, but I do think we should go for bootleg with all the Unsurpassed Masters. Anyone object?

TopPopper 4th Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - The Beatles (White Album) (2007) | Thanks for the kind offer, Mojo. As it happens I found a downloads of the "Knickers Off" collection last night, and so I have a copy.
I read that the full track was first released on the "Kinfauns to Chaos" set, which is why I was puzzled by its absence here. I do know that Purple Chick updated some of their Deluxe editions (I have two versions of Please Please Me, for example). It's a shame the full track isn't here - I listened right through all the Yoko Ono talking recordings on this set and was hoping to hear the song in all its glory at the end.
These are incredible collections. I managed to get them all. All burned at home to CD, for in-car enjoyment.

TopPopper 3rd Feb 2017 | | CD AlbumThe Beatles - The Beatles (White Album) (2007) | I'm searching for the full 11 minute version of "Revolution 1" on this set. Can't seem to find it - did Purple Chick ever issue an updated edition with it on?
