sladesounds 5th Aug 2020		CD Single Blodpest - Ashen Sovereignty (2018)	Review One of two "Black Metal" CD's I picked up today for pennies at a local charity shop. Being one who can find something in just about any musical genre I encounter I today came to the conclusion that these Black Metal performers(?) not only sold their souls to the devil but also any musical ability they may have had. sladesounds 24th Feb 2017		CD Single Simply Red - Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye (1987)	I kinda recall this being issued as a Valentine Day's special edition. There was no front inlay card, just a standard CD jewel case with a sticker on the front, the disc as you see is plain red with no credits and there was new artwork printed for the tray.

sladesounds 29th Aug 2014		CD Single Kate Bush - Rocket Man (I Think It's Going To Be A Long, Long Time) (1992)	As said the issue of media being simultaneously being available in more than one country can be a problem when listing it on this site. I can see the same happening over on discogs where a CD is listed several times, all with identical art work and packaging and identical Cat#s but listed separately over different countries This CD is listed there with the Cat# here but three times as a UK, Europe, Australasia issue. Interestingly the Aussie disc they list comes in card sleeve (with the same barcode). Simon rightly input this as an Aussie release as he can confirm it was available as a standard stock issue however my view is that where we know the item was for sale as a stock item in more than one country with the same artwork, cat#. track listing etc. then maybe the International flag may be more appropriate with details where know of which countries it was available in. sladesounds 16th Jun 2014		CD Single Simple Minds - Dancing Barefoot EP (2001)	Not sure i this should have come with a booklet as the inside cover (scan #42493) is "cut" for possible insertion. This copy which I picked up at the weekend (for the pricey sum of 20p) was sealed but no booklet inside on opening.

sladesounds 28th Feb 2013		CD Single The Rolling Stones - Rock And A Hard Place (2011)	kollektionist I did before submitting this (and one or two others of the same box set) speak to my fellow Mods to get some feedback on if this should or should not be listed.. The deciding factors in finding "exceptions" to the rule for this one is: a. It was released as part of the 45x45 Singles box set, and, b. It was promoted by the label as a CD Single release. If you haven't already done so have a look at this forum post where the matter is discussed a bit more.

sladesounds 4th Feb 2013		CD Single The Beach Boys - I Can Hear Music (1996)	The album "Stars & Stripes Vol 1" artwork credits the album to "The Beach Boys" and as you rightly say on the album track listing Kathy is featured on this track. What we need to see a scan of the disc and this promo's artwork so that the entry can be tied into what is printed by the record label and if needed amend this entry accordingly.
sladesounds 31st Jan 2013		CD Single Linda McCartney - The Light Comes From Within (1999)	My thoughts are that unless we know it is UK/Germany/etc. release only, then the use of the European flag seem appropriate. I think it has been mentioned somewhere in the forums recently that the majority of all CD production was down Austria way during the '90s. This link might be worth a look - Countries Issued. Be aware that there is an EU directive that says "Made in EU" must be put on CDs in some cases even if it is released in only one country.

Unless yours is fully marked UK with different Cat#s there is no point in adding it on just as different country. What we have found is that most modern releases on vinyl and of course cd singles are made for the European market as a whole and are often multi-country released under the same cat# hence the addition in cd world for Europe as a country. Regarding my incomplete entry, I have finished all the scans and should have them on by the end of tomorrow all linked here.
sladesounds 29th Jan 2013		CD Single The Rolling Stones - The Singles 1971-2006 (45x45s) (2011)	I oooo'd and aahh'd over this one but what swung it to Europe is that the individual discs are marked Made in Europe around the rims and the company is shown (again around the rims) as Promotone B.V. which is the actual record label of the Rolling Stones, a dutch company based in Amsterdam. BV is Dutch for Besloten Vennootschap, and is the Dutch terminology for a private limited liability company.
sladesounds 29th Jan 2013		CD Single The Rolling Stones - The Singles 1971-2006 (45x45s) (2011)	Henry go with what is on the disc. If it says only "Rolling Stones" then that's what you use. What I (or another Mod) will then do is link the artist "Rolling Stones" to "The Rolling Stones" so everything shows up together and in the right place.
