nboldock 21st May 2015		Cinema Cannibal Holocaust (1980) (1980)	Still a massively controversial movie, and with good reason - it IS very graphic and really quite unpleasant in places. It's also not very good. It is also the godfather of the "found footage" genre (see also Blair Witch Project et al), but that's not necessarily a compliment.
nboldock 21st May 2015		Cinema Love + Hate (2006) (2006)	It may not be startlingly original (this is basically yet another take on the old Romeo & Juliet star-crossed lovers theme) but I really like this film. Adam is a product of a community where everyday racism is commonplace - he's also under the influence of a deeply racist and violent older brother. Naseema is from a Muslim family and faced with challenges from her own older brother, overbearing control-freak Yousif. Naturally, boy meets girl... It's a well made film, both of the lead characters are well played and you do find yourself rooting for them. Well worth watching.
nboldock 20th May 2015		Cinema Halloween III: Season Of The Witch (1982) (1982)	This one always gets naff reviews, and of course it bears no relation to any of the other Halloween movies at all, but I've always liked it personally. It's completely ridiculous of course, but hugely entertaining. Altogether now - "Happy, happy Halloween..."...
nboldock 20th May 2015		Cinema Guinea Pig (Guinea Pig: Devil's Experiment) (1985) (1985)	I enjoyed the first Saw movie, I thought it was pretty good - but I watched one of the sequels some time after that (as it was on telly) and thought it was rubbish, frankly. But yeah, not really my thing either, I watched Hostel when that came out and didn't think much to it.

nboldock 20th May 2015		Cinema Guinea Pig (Guinea Pig: Devil's Experiment) (1985) (1985)	I saw this years ago and really wish I hadn't. It's a horrible, horrible film with no redeeming features whatsoever - anyone who says otherwise either hasn't seen it or is being wilfully contrary. I wanted to rate it zero but couldn't. Deeply unpleasant cinema (if you can call it that) and definitely not recommended. There are several sequels as well (some of which I gather actually have a plot) though I've avoided them and will continue to do so.

It's got no redeeming features whatsoever. Dreadful. If you want to put yourself through the misery of hysterically bad acting and a ludicrous plot, some idiot has actually put it on YouTube... nboldock 4th May 2015		Cinema Death Of A Snowman (1976) (1976)	I had a copy of this on VHS some years back - it's a pretty dreadful movie as I recall, though the notion of Nigel Davenport starring in a South African blaxsploitation movie is certainly an interesting one!
