GEMSMFAN 3rd Oct 2016		Betamax The Beatles - Let It Be (1981)	The square cassette label just came off, as the glue holding it has dried out. After all, it's 35 years old! Peteyboy: you had a Zenith Beta VCR.. "Betamax" was Sony's patented brand VCR machine. The format in 45worlds, should be "Beta" and not "Betamax", which was Sony's VCR. Sanyo called there's "Betacord" It's like calling every tissue made, a "Kleenex".

GEMSMFAN 5th Feb 2016		DVD Glam Rock : The DVD - Classic Pictures (2003)	The image of the disc looks like a shape disc... clearly why I'd encircle an outline around anything white.. white on white isn't attractive.
GEMSMFAN 2nd Jan 2016		LaserDisc Star Wars - CBS / Fox (1989)	This was the original movie as shown in 1977, before the remastering, re-editing, scene changes and special effects updating that was done when this went back to the theatres and later what was released on a then new DVD format, as Episode 4 "A New Hope". The laserdisc was first released in Full (Standard) Screen format with same cover photo, but minus the top black/grey banner. This was because most viewers preferred a complete picture verses one with the top and bottom black bars which meant a wider, but smaller TV picture.

GEMSMFAN 1st Dec 2015		DVD Where The Boys Are - Warner Home Video (2011)	it is worth noting that this was pressed as a DVD-R (has a shiny label side and pinkish tint on the playing side). Warner Bros. decided to release a large selection of titles this way, as they were produced in smaller numbers than their ordinary DVD titles. It was actually referred to as "MOD", manufactured-on-demand.

GEMSMFAN 2nd Nov 2015		DVD Hullabaloo Volumes 1-4: A 1960s Music Flashback - MPI Home Video (2000)	Originally broacasted over the U.S. NBC-TV network nationwide. NBC was the innovator on the latest technology, so in 1965, while the other 2 major networks were still broadcasting in black & white, they had color and this show was in color. Unfortunately, NBC whenever destroyed most of the original color tapes. What these DVD's and VHS tapes contain are black & white kinescopes. At the time, many programs were "live" or taped and shown once and unless there was some intent of repeating them, they were destroyed. Music programs especially, since they weren't considered important and worth archiving.
GEMSMFAN 27th Oct 2015		DVD Grosse Pointe Blank - Hollywood Pictures (1998)	in order for this to link up with "Cinema World", the Title has to be corrected it's "Grosse Pointe Blank" I accidentally placed the imdb ID link# in the title slot when originally submitting this. I requested Make A Correction and which ever moderator made the correction edit didn't enter the Title correctly.

GEMSMFAN 18th Jul 2015		Betamax The Beatles - Let It Be (1981)	This was an official release.. I got rid of most of my Beta videocassettes with bulk going in the trash, although I kept this one. I copied this onto a DVD+R Both secondary images were created by combining images, as I only have one tape. I didn't fold the box for the back box image. This was released by Magnetic Video on Beta, VHS and LaserDisc.

GEMSMFAN 6th Jul 2015		DVD Woodstock: 3 Days Of Peace & Music - Warner Home Video (1997)	1997 looks to be correct... the insert was added to later copies.. my copy doesn't have it. Makes you kind of wonder why 1997, as it has no signifigance as a milestone year to the film. I imagine that was the first year of a DVD pressing? The 1994 version probably was released on VHS and laserdisc.
