Rainbow @ Patinoire de Boulogne-Billancourt		A third band was supposed to play before Def Leppard : Trash the french AOR band but due to their huge equipment Rainbow Management asked Trash to reduce it or to go...what they did indeed.

Monsters Of Rock @ Donington Park		First big abroad Festival experience as a young french music lover : naive at a point that me and my buddy wondered why these stupid englishmen were throwing huge jerrycans plenty of beer in the air....before being surprised by the warmth of the liquid...;-)) Slade kicked ass ; BOC unfortunately were the disapppointment of the day (albert left the group the day before and sound seems to have been destroyed by AC/CD soundtech !!! Whitesnake were at their almost peak (83' will be their zenith IMO).

The Stranglers @ Reading Rock		Stranglers....IHow would I say it maybe in french : sacrés fouteurs de merde. remmerber them asking the crowd : do you know how hardrockers scratch their back ? and then after wore wigs mimicked Status Quo best posture back to back. Not so funny They wre boed and bottles started to fly just before the Lizzy (last show in England).

Black Sabbath @ Espace Balard (Circus Tent)		Was there too...Just coming back from the 83' Monsters of Rock and Reading Festival I already experienced both bands few weeks ago. The show was damn hot in Paris and both bands delivered strong shows (Ian Gillan seemed to learn properly & correctly the BS lyrics since Reading ;-) Encores were brillant : Smoke on the water + Paranoid !!!! Diamond Head were fantastic too and just produced in my opinion one of the most underrated album of all time : Canterbury. A definitive masterpiece richful, varied as their mentors by the past LZ. Canterbury is their : Physical Graffiti !!

Gillan @ Bataclan		First Gillan experience. Because of university degree the following day I hesitated until the last momeent to attend. A last listening to the fresh Double Trouble album and I was in...Great show with a demonic Janick Gers, Extraordinary Colin Towns and marvelous Ian. Superb band. Several month after this gig, my second occasion to see the band performing occurred with the 82' Monsters of Rock at Castle Donington but that's another story...
