Lincoln Lad 26th Dec 2020		Live Music Small Faces @ Colston Hall	I remember this lineup. There were two shows and I went to the first. The Nice were a “no show” because O’List had just been fired so that puts the concert date late 1968 and I moved to Bristol September 1968. So either this roadshow played Colston Hall twice or the date’s wrong but I do vaguely remember the second show ending in chaos and doubtful they would have been invited back. I remember the compere commenting on the amount of equipment Canned Heat had. None of this mix and match mash up of brands - it was a beautiful lead stack of 8 cabinets set in a curve and a double twin stack bass set up. Great set. The Small Faces live were nothing like their commercial singles - an r&b band. PS I’ve researched some more. I think this concert took place on 25 Sep68.
