The Rolling Stones and Rolling Stones should be linked, currently they have separate entries.

They are fully linked in Vinyl Albums - were you looking elsewhere?

We need to have "Rufus", "Rufus featuring Chaka Khan", "Rufus And Chaka" and "Rufus and Chaka Khan" all linked together. Currently they are linked over at 45cat but not here (or at least they are not in the Vinyl Albums section).

We currently have two different acts called "Shannon" who are considered as one in the Vinyl Albums section. The 1980's Shannon was an American Dance/Disco singer, however the Shannon who did "Abergavenny" in the late '60s was a British Pop act, apparently fronted by Marty Wilde (father of Kim Wilde).

This is the L.P. with "Abergavenny" on it.

I see that over at 45cat they have the "Abergavenny" one as Shannon[Marty Wilde] and the 1980s one as Shannon[USA] as it seems there were a few other "Shannon" acts as well.

It seems "Abergavenny" was a sizable hit in the U.S.(BB #47 in 1969) though there was no chart action in Britain. However I do remember it got a lot of play on Radio One in The U.K. that summer. It must have come out around July/August as I recall being on Holiday in South Wales and singing it in the car, stuck in a traffic jam on the A40, while going through .... wait for it .... Abergavenny. It's funny how this site brings back long forgotten memories.

Can mods please have a look at the variations for T Rex - T.Rex - T-Rex etc they are all the same artist obviously
In line with 45cat, all name variations are (hopefully) now linked to Marc Bolan And T. Rex.

Just did a CD search, and Marc Bolan and various permutations need linking there... Tyrannosaurus Rex is not linked to T.Rex. Marc Bolan & T. Rex etc. on any world.

Here's another to link, "Star Sound" and "Starsound" same artist but shown differently on some releases, 45cat has a link for these variations plus a link to "Stars on 45".

I think all Quarry Men are correctly linked, at least they are on vinyl albums

We have a number of different versions of "Junior Walker" that need to be linked ...

"Jr. Walker" and "Jr. Walker And The All Stars" already are linked but to this there needs to be added "Jr Walker" (Jr without the full-stop/period), "Junior Walker" and "Junior Walker And The All Stars".

There is also this L.P. entry for "Jr. Walker And the All-Stars" where a hyphen between "All" and "Stars" seems to have crept in erroneously .....

Can one of the mods please link "Narada" and "Narada Michael Walden" as they are one and the same artist, as has already happened at 45cat ... http://www.45cat.com/artist/narada
Thanks in advance.

I've just added this L.P. by Jeanette "Baby" Washington .... http://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/avi6038

Needless to say this is exactly the same artist who recorded as "Baby Washington" so can they be linked please.

Aha ... I hadn't noticed Justine Washington, but it must be the same artist.

I've just added an L.P. by "The Whispers" where they are merely named as "Whispers" on the label (though not on the cover!?) so can you please link "Whispers" and "The Whispers" (they have already cropped up as "Whispers" on this L.P. http://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/6310128 )

Thanks.

I'd have entered it as The Whispers if it is shown on the sleeve, but no matter - now linked

World links now added, but there will be some mistakes as there are two The Whispers. Anyone care to check this out?

The Whispers on the "Goodbye 40s, Hello 50s" L.P. look to be a 1940s R&B outfit .... I've found a track by them on youtube which appears to be included in a subsequent issue of that L.P. according to Allmusic ..
Allmusic link ....
