Given that the tracks are in a different order, I'd say that that warrants a new entry, with notes on both that and the original one pointing out the difference.
I just noticed two entries for Glenn Miller 78rpms that are basically no more than later pressings with the newer RCA Victor instead of the original Victor label.
Example: http://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/20156 vs. http://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/201566us and http://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/201564 vs. http://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/201564us.
It seems that Discogs would think this worthy of a new entry, but I had the impression that on 45worlds, you'd simply upload label variations from later pressings to the original release. Is there an actual policy on this?
I'm in no way qualified to advise on "policy" here, but as far as I understand things, "Victor" and "RCA Victor" are not mere "Re-Presses", and that would in my world justify a new entry, even if cat#s remain the same.
On the other hand, I notice that 45worlds uses only the label "Victor" to denote both Victor and RCA Victor records. So how much do we really care about the difference?
xiphophilos: :-)) hoy men, "not enough" kai hoy de, "too much".
(i suspect a significant factor is the enormous amount of semi-divine being('s,s') time it would now take to try to untangle the two (or more?) forms of victor & rca (- and "rca victor"), in all the (how many?) countries the one or the other as well as both (and the compound form) occurred, with no guarantee rca - or victor - maintained much consistency as to when they used which, in the different wheres they used them...)
(however, should/when you attain semi-divine status yourself, i'm sure many of your fellow exalted will applaud your nobility and self-sacrifice in undertaking the task.)
So many of the Victor releases were subsequently re-issued on RCA Victor that I think there was a general agreement amongst the mods that they should be grouped together to make life easier for everyone. Releases that were first issued as Victor are entered as such, and the later ones entered as RCA Victor, the dividing line occurring around Feb 1946 (See the label biography).
It would be nice to see RCA Victor as a one-way pseudonym, with its listing starting at 1946, along with a "see Victor for main label listing" or something to that effect. But... then I suppose that some folks with 'RCA Victor' copies of older issues would not see the original Victor item, and create a new entry.
