I tried to find from the forums and the worlds (and now spaces) if the 78 rpm company (and retail shop?) sleeves are gathered anywhere in the database (or elsewhere).
Yes, this question sure may have risen and even answered before but I cannot find it... I might create "space" for them if it won't overlap some other page.

I believe that there is no database within the worlds for said sleeves, though some have been added to 78 rpm, good idea to create a sleeve space.

As yet there is no space for company sleeves but as I understand it there is plans to enable scans to be uploaded to each record label in the near future. As for 78 retail shop sleeves I started adding these to the Music Memorabilia site but stopped as a Record Shop World is due to appear soon which will accommodate them.

Thanks, I thought this would be a "worlds thing" anyway. So, I'll keep my images ready and restrict from uploading them yet.
The same goes for 45 sleeves, although several pages for them exist elsewhere in the web.

I think it is going to be difficult to date but for the UK era to 1961 there are not going to be that many labels or variations to consider in 10in sizes as so much shipped in brown paper sleeves or the record store outer. I don't suppose there would be harm in starting a space, if only as placeholder for images.

We have a place for Record Shop Bags in Music Memorabilia but I feel that 78s need their own pages on 45spaces just for record shop sleeves. I've got several to add but probably not the 10+ you need to start a 'Space'
On 78 World we also have a List by xiphophilos Record Store Sleeves listing 78s where someone has uploaded an image of a sleeve, but it would be better in the long term to have a Spaces list where you could search in meaningful ways for record stores

I thought we were having Record Shop World on 45Worlds eventually? Colin/Alan?
I was always under the impression that eventually we'd have a separate world encompassing Company Record Sleeves and Record Store Sleeves together,(identified separately within the same world)so you have just one place to go to whilst searching for a sleeve/date etc?

Re UK 78 Company Sleeves can anyone think of a simple list.
Those I remember that have not disintegrated
H.M.V (per sleeve)
Decca - mostly with ads for Decca record players on
Rex
Brunswick (different coloring)
Capitol
Columbia (Purple sleeves for the green labels)
MGM
Phillips
Earlier ones like Broadcast 10", Eclipse.
Cannot remember but I think some Regal, Zonophone and Regal Zonophone.
I dont recall a Pye/Nixa sleeve.
And these were mostly 10" ones, cannot remember that many if any 12" sleeves - indeed I have to find cheap LPs to use inner sleeves on for some of my collection.

The vast majority of 78 labels had company sleeves including Regal, Regal Zonophone and Pye.
12" releases also had company sleeves very often the sleeves carried ads about other artists/releases but as you said many became torn etc. and were replaced with plain brown/dealers sleeves.
London did not have company sleeves only plain brown ones.

UK. Street Speak (but not on my road). Zab, for 78world please restrict yourself to slang from the 30s and 40s only ( Apple releases from the 70s notwithstanding).
