Look there for a start: nearly 900 V Disc records with their labels taken from our database.
Same guy gle_98 who apparently lifted the images from here contributed more than 10,000 images to Discogs, and looking at his last images there, he stole most of them (or all) from here and 45cat.
I have logged in at Discogs and according to my spot tests he started copying 45cat/45worlds labels about five months ago and at least half of his contributed images were copied from here.

So far as I can see, most (quite possibly all) the V Disc images were added here by one individual. Either it's the same person adding to Discogs or if not, then that 78cat user's got good reason to complain.

It is definitely not the same guy, as the V Disc guy here was Twitster, probably living in the USA, who made his contributions over a long period. The guy at Discogs, however, has copied hundred of Australian/New Zealand/UK labels from 45cat as well with lightning speed.

One reason I'm with the other site as well as here was because some of my 45cat entries (and pics) were likewise swiped. Since I joined there, that's ebbed somewhat. One way is to enter a record on both sites for self-protection, and abide by respective sites' guidelines. (I keep it straight, if you've noticed.)

This is interesting as I consider 'them' our natural enemies. I'd also like to say that, as a chronic page-linker, I hate the V-Disc label. It's a waste of my time to be on those pages and it slows me down.

Contemporaries....Colleagues.... Comrades?
...Fellow music enthusiasts and collectors.
I don't feel the "us and them" of it myself.
I rather think Discogs and this site complement each other well, with Discogs a useful directory style site, and this much richer environment here for greater depth.
I worry that people think Discogs, by virtue of it's presentation, is to be regarded as definitive... what I have learned since joining here is that there are no real comprehensive "Experts", with new discoveries to be made regarding even those artists and their releases which most previously thought had been gotten to the bottom of.
I can understand people being a bit miffed with their work being purloined, but as I myself have greatly benefited from the work of others, I don't mind in the least if others benefit from mine... just a shame if they can't be a little more honest about what they do with it - such is life.
But on a less eloquent note:
Don't let the fuckrs pit us all against each other, and make us think that only a couple of people are representative of the entire user base of a site.

Us is Them... and Them is Us.
Power To The People!!!!
This is how I feel about it. I met the guy who started discogs a while back and he was really friendly and helpful.

We best get used to it... as we enter the Pay-Per-Thought era, every time you think of even the word: "Beatles", or "Apple", that's a pound you owe the Ringo McLennon-son estate and corporate affiliates.
They are just working out a way to monetise cognitive recognition.
