I use Paint.net which is a free download with this you can crop the label scans and rotate them. I've managed to master it and I'm also a digital dinosaur. From the Wiki page it states it's compatible with Windows 7 onwards.
The Westminster Band's "Good Luck (And The Same To You)" was released on Decca [UK] F. 7286 in 1939. Your French Decca 59.027 record is probably also from 1939.
Wow! have certainly found the right place to get info, thank you very much for instant replies. On the 'Westminster Band' were they in fact the 'Westminster Military Band' and did they continue, or change their name, and who was in it directing ?
On the same theme of dating record (recording) - Since I have several French records, mainly on Columbia label, but some H.M.V./La Voix De Son Maître (with 'K' prefix), is there anywhere a site for checking this, as I note on the H.M.V. (disco label list) that the 48 they have start on a (apart from one) number much higher than the ones I have.
Thanks again for your help and congratulations on your site.
There is a printed discography of La Voix De Son Maître records:
Alan Kelly, His Master's Voice: La Voix De Son Maître: The French Catalog, 1898-1929, Greenwood Press, 1990.
Otherwise, you'll have to research the release date yourself, it seems. If you enter your records here, even without the release date, at least some of that work may be done by other users. For that to happen, however, it's always helpful if you can illustrate your entries with images / scans of the labels.

You can always try entering the catalogue number in the CHARM advanced search which has many of Alan Kelly's databases. CHARM says that K6000 was probably released about 1930, if you are looking for guidelines for K series lower numbers. Most of the records listed in the link from Xiphophilos above will be single-sided, and so have catalogue numbers with no letter prefixes.
Thanks for the info will have a go at that, when I have finished repairing Garden wall, raking leaves, and getting garden ready for winter. Have managed to add a couple of record sleeves (French H.M.V.) so next is to work out how to go about the Labels - was mentioned - scan them - How? For the sleeves I just took photos and with a bit of cutting it seemed to work. Help needed by senile old man with senile computer.

If you have not got a scanner this could be a problem. Your choice is buy a scanner or continue to use a camera. As I don't use a camera you will need advice from a member who does.
Thanks for help, and have downloaded paint net and used scan on Canon printer, but suppose the older you get the dumber you get as still cannot see how to correctly crop to a circle ? I am sure the software is "User friendly" - must be me that isn't !
