I have this picture of a Victor sleeve that looks like the "race" and "country" ones, obviously for immigrants (Italian, French, Russian artists are provided), that shows releases under a 80000 series (81229: Giuletta Motino, 80509: Kiristoff's Balaika Orch, 81457: Pietro). Though I can't find any listing of a 10" 80000 series.
Any thoughts ?

I've found complete listings for the 85000 series and beyond, but nothing for a low numbered 80000 series. Thanks for the tip then.
Doesn't seem they have released much in that number.
Not used with DAHR, which is a shame.

Please create a new entry and upload this great new sleeve to our sleeve database I assume it's probably also from ca. 1928, like the other, similar one you've uploaded earlier: http://www.45spaces.com/company-sleeves-78rpms/r.php?r=bjs197079).

I'm currently traveling, but will see what I can find about a 80,000 series of "ethnic" recordings for immigrants once I am back home.

Definitively from 1928 - like the similar "Country" and "Race" sleeves.
Will obviously update it with a new batch of sleeves I'm working on pretty soon.

Another odd detail:

Do I see "59051" ??

That's a 12-inch German ethnic recording, Victor 59051, Die Sechs Hungrigen Musikanten [= The Six Starving Musicians], "Tief im Böhmerwald" (Deep in the Bohemian Forest) / "Trink' mer noch ein Tröpchen" (Let's Have Another Sip), both recorded Chicago, IL, June 23, 1928.(DAHR)

All the recordings on the sleeve are probably listed in Richard Spottswood, Ethnic Music on Records, 5 vols.(e.g., vol. 2 Slavic)

Victor 21456, by the way, is the Garde Républicaine Band with "Le Régiment de Sambre et Meuse" / "Le Pere de la Victoire", both recorded Paris, November 25, 1927.(DAHR)

Victor 80667 is Marimba Centro-Americana with "Mi cielo azul" / "Charmaine" (DAHR)

One more:
Victor 21216 is Charles O’Connell on the pipe organ, playing "The Rosary" / "Ave Maria" (DAHR).

I can't really read the number of the last orchestra in the lower right corner. Does it start with a 3 or an 8?

It's 80674 : International Concert Orchestra "Parade of the wooden soldiers" / "Bummel Petrus intermezzo" (DAHR)
