Translated from Electra Grammofon web page

In Sweden 1928, Sixten Eriksson was working for the Vox label ... which was bought up by Orchestrola which in turn was bought by the German Telefunken company. Sixten ran Telefunken in Sweden up to 1945 when the war put German production on hold.

Telefunken's facilities were hit hard during WW2 - in neutral Sweden, shellac was in short supply but in 1946 some of the surviving staff in Germany began contacting Sweden wanting to start up record manufacture again.
Decca in England were now in full production and offered Eriksson representation in Sweden.
Telefunken were back in production by Autumn 1947 and invited Eriksson for talks with the offer to start a new company in Sweden. In January 1948 Telefunken Försäljnings AB begins. His new company realized that German music had lost a lot of its charm and a replacement had to be found. He contacted the newly started US Capitol label who gladly leased their product to Scandinavia and, after tipping off Telefunken in Germany who also made contact ... Capitol increased their coverage in Europe.

The first Capitol releases came out in autumn 1948.

When Capitol was purchased by British EMI in 1955 the licencing stopped and a replacement was needed for a US product.

RCA was in the process of making sure its company logo was clearly seen on any leased items and signed with Sixten in December 1955 who had started a new company Grammofon AB Electra leasing RCA for Sweden and Finland.
He was given two discs by the new artist Elvis Presley for evaluation of future European release.

The first RCA releases began January 1956.

Telefunken and Decca started cooperating in 1950 with the TELDEC company. They would represent RCA in Germany.and signed a licencing deal in August 1956 and the first RCA discs rolled off the presses in October
