| Bluebird "Mean Old Frisco Blues" On Both Sides 78 |

 | JABOT123 Member since Sep 2019 3 Points | Hi I have a 78 with "Mean Old Frisco Blues" on both sides by Arthur Big Boy Crudup in very good condition.  | xiphophilos Member since Dec 2013 3351 Points Moderator | Seems like you've got Bluebird 34-0704 (Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup – Gonna Follow My Baby / Mean Old 'Frisco Blues, originally released in 1943) with the B side label erroneously applied to both sides. Unfortunately, this kind of error happened often enough, and it doesn't make this record more valuable. In fact, I personally always prefer correctly labeled copies. We don't have this record in our database yet. Discogs has two versions. Both were entered with mistakes and wrong dates which I've just corrected. The $299.99 that someone demands for what he thought was the original release but what is actually a repress sounds like a fantasy price to me. Edited by xiphophilos on 4th Sep 2019, 6:17 AM |
