I'm about to add a 33 rpm record with two songs 14 to 15 minutes long, on each side, according to the guidelines an lp Should have more than 4 songs. I need to hear your opinion, thanks!
Deciding whether it is a 12" LP, single or EP depends how it was marketed. In some instances the cat. no. (offhand, Parlophone's 12R prefix for 12" singles comes to mind) offers a clue. The number of tracks is not a reliable criterion ... I have several 12 "singles", that have 4 or 5 tracks, all different versions or mixes of the same basic recording.

The marketing aspect is certainly a factor, annaloog. For example, Squire's September Gurls from 1984 is still to be added, being a 5 track 12". It plays at 45rpm, but was referred to at the time as a mini album and was expanded to a full L.P. last year.
Then, on 45cat, we have the Gerry Anderson 7' series (Introducing Thunderbirds, for example)
