I have added multiple disc sets a few times - sometimes all on one page, sometimes a page for each disc and one main page, if I recall correctly.
So, I have the Canadian box that is pretty much [but not exactly] the same as this one
10 discs in a heavy duty double box-in-a-box with a drop-down flap and all the original paperwork including postage-style stamps, order forms, promo and accompanying books and booklets. It's all pretty cool and was probably quite exciting in its day.
I want to know the "45worlds preferred method" of adding this item. I'd like to do it right the first time.
I've been trying to make some sense out of Readers Digest and its not easy..so much attention is paid to the packaging an seldom the labels themselves. Looking at the labels gives a lot more info.
As RD started as a co-operation with RCA, on this site we have listings under both "Readers Digest RCA" and also just "Readers Digest".
From what I've seen so far RDS catalogue numbers were for the UK releases and other countries had their own numbering systems...hence I would like so see more label pictures
How to list? Everyone has their own ideas . First, is the set complete or is it just one disc out of a set?
I've been finding odd discs and listing them as "part of a six record set" and finally when all six have been found and listed, I list the packaging of the set with a link to the individual discs.
RD sets had no catalogue number by the way..they were just a sum of their parts and named "Hits of the 60's" see this
I think that listing box sets with so many components is a lot of work and the final result takes up so much room that few people seldom take the time to go through the details...it just looks too long and unhandleable...a bit like this answer

The example shown above by KeithS is the best way in my opinion. As for the cat # of the box set I would have used "RDS 670" as it is common for the 9 records in the set. The fourth digit is the record number within the set.
Looking at the two different ways I think that this way, (same as KeithS's example above) would be better as it covers the individual records when they get separated from the box sets.

The 3 examples on this page have all been added differently. It looks like anything goes. Personally, I'd go with one disc per page and one page just for the box with links to all the individual pages. Is there one person who determines how everything is done on our site? Who's the boss?
I'm working through them just now.
Having a page with all ten discs and tons of packaging and 140 tracks listed is just TOO much...even I can't be bothered to look at all that info and I've got the interest at the moment.
I'm listing the box separate with its myriad of different titles and then linking to the individual discs...its seems much more handlable.

That's the way to go, and use the BBcode in Notes for the links.
