[alt. title for this comment: There Can Only Be One]

This note also affects Classical World. Simply put, these two 'labels' cannot both exist. 'His Master's Voice' is always the label. 'HMV Concert Classics' is a Series. It's perfect as a TAG, not a label.

We’ll probably discuss this in the mods forum, at the moment when I look at the few examples of the label even in the 50’s the label prominently has it as HMV Concert Classics? Not His Masters Voice concert classics?

I don't ever mean to sound like I'm demanding this and ordering that. When I see something, I tell you guys and then I move on.
Peace!

I agree it's a label series, but that begs the question 'which label?'

Ooh-err, sounds like a lot of editing! You're right, of course.

H'mm, I have three releases on this HMV Concert Classics label: SXLP 30199, 30164, and 30415. I don't understand the OP's assertion; to me it seems an EMI subsidiary label, like HMV Greensleeves or (FTM) EMI America. I presume these were lower price reissues.
