Many of you may have found yourself here via the parent website www.45cat.com in which case using the website and making additions should be straightforward.
If you are new to 45cat or any of the other worlds then we urge you to read this quick guide.
If you plan to submit any 12"s or 10"s to the website then there is an even shorter guide to submitting a record which is worth reading as each world, although very similar, may have slight differences.
Important - A major difference from 45cat and the other worlds is that we've chosen to sometimes simplify the main artist credit (see this thread)

These new sites are really fun and it's going to take me forever to add all of the different formats And I was just curious about 8 tracks,I don't collect them but are you going to add them in the future?
what do you mean I don't need more records Member since Feb 2012 68 Points
great, now I have to empty out the 78's from the self store and start listing them, these sites are like a drug, first you resist, then you have a dabble, then you get hooked, then you even start buying records you already have for label variations...but I love them.

Minor makeover I see today.
The useful links is now pinned , thanks , and the 45worlds homepage seems to have a minor change of typeface with the world blocks gaining a blue font. Nice.

Thanks.
Many more tweaks still to come I think.
The 45worlds homepage is kind of a Beta-test at the moment.
Bells and whistles to be added as the various worlds expand....
Adding 78s - Good Practice ? / Matrix Numbers on Labels
Delete if you disagree
http://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/c3130 ( other than I got the images wrong way round ) , for a simple UK 78 I know - other discs can be a lot more complicated and even different label printings can change the details on the label , particulary treatment of abbreviations. What I have done with the detail is put it in record notes - of course if you dont have a good copy of both labels in front of your its difficult , but I do find putting matrix numbers in to be a help when the sides are re-issued , particulary by different successor labels or budget /premium imprints.
I note that others put in the diameter of the label , sorry I don't carry a ruler , maybe I should ( I cannot think of a standard 7" 45 having differing label diameters unlike both the differing 78 record diameters and label diameters - which again can vary over time.

Yes that's neat. I wouldn't mind seeing a field for matrix no's in 78world
The images have been corrected
Matrix numbers are best mentioned in notes or in a comment.
Fields are used for artists and labels so you can click on an artist or label and see all the releases by them. Matrix numbers should all be different so storing them as a field rather than free text has no real advantages I can think of.
Maybe we are talking about different things as matrix numbers. The numbers and letters in the run-outs are dependent on many things and can include press used , press operator, master # , take number , edit number and so on.
Not in notes means that the Disc Label Matrix is often omitted.
Those Matrix numbers tend to refer to the main master take used to create the side of the disc.
They are useful for cross-linking series of records in album formats ( consecutive and stack ordering ) , when re-issues occur of orchestral music, particulary on different labels and countries ( eg Polydor in Germany and Columbia in UK ) used the same matrix master reference on the label showing common series and origination. Also for later issues and re-issues on acquired labels , eg Regal and Zonophone into Regal-Zonophone. As some lists in the web show gaps on record matrix sequences can be explained by takes recorded in the studio , etc , but not issued at the time, also external sources use the take number to identify artists on the recording not mentioned on the label ( Jazz group line ups , etc )
