Quad5point1 4th Aug 2018		TV Guitar Heroes At The BBC (2008 - 2009)	A celebration of Seventies-era axe-men, acoustic virtuosos and thumping riff merchants, in a compilation of guitar-heavy performances from the BBC TV archives. Guitar gods including Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, Peter Green and Johnny Winter are joined by, among others, flamenco maestro Manitas De Plata, bottleneck bluesman Ry Cooder and straight-up rockers AC/DC and Thin Lizzy. Everything from Fleetwood Mac's ambient masterpiece Albatross to hits like The Jam's In The City and Free's All Right Now feature along with lesser-known gems like Maid in Heaven by Be Bop Deluxe and Nils Lofgren's Keith Don't Go. The tracks were recorded in the heyday of BBC shows such as The Old Grey Whistle Test, Top of the Pops and Rock Goes to College.

Quad5point1 31st Mar 2018		TV The Kenny Everett Video Show (1978 - 1981)	I don't think it's dated at all, Anarchaic comedy never seems to die, the guy was so far ahead of his time. Can't wait to see the full Thames television series released as it was head and shoulders over the BBC shows he did. The music slots were great as well and I remember two in particular, The Boomtown Rats "Someone's Looking At You" and Squeeze playing "Cool For Cats" (The extended version) not to mention the Hot Gossip routines. Just brilliant

Quad5point1 12th Mar 2018		TV The Price Is Right (1984 - 2007)	You wouldn't half know this show was being run at a time when the country was slightly more affluent than it is today. Nothing like this on TV now in the age of austerity.
Quad5point1 25th Feb 2018		TV Home Fires (2015 - Now)	ITV pulled the plug on this excellent series and left everybody hanging. If anyone wants to see the return of this series please visit the petition site and sign the petition to get it re-commisioned.
Quad5point1 17th Jan 2018		TV Big School (2013 - 2014)	This was one of the most underrated comedy shows of the 2000's. Well worth watching if you get the chance.

Quad5point1 14th Oct 2017		TV Carry On Laughing (1975)	As far as I can remember Bush televisions were never part of the Thorn-EMI group. I worked for them from 1980 - 2001 and the brands they were associated with were Ferguson, HMV, Marconiphone and Ultra.
Quad5point1 10th Oct 2017		TV The Vietnam War (2017)	Ken Burns seems to use Peter Coyote as Narrator on most, if not all his documentaries. Just got through watching The Roosevelts: An Intimate Portrait and Prohibition which uses him on both. But as you say, quality is sky-high and the other documentaries are of the same quality.

How on earth could you ever replace Ronnie Barker as Fletch and Fulton MacKay, Brian Wilde and the late great Richard Beckinsale & Peter Vaughan. Not to mention David Jason, Christopher Biggins & Sam Kelly. It's on a hiding to nothing
