ady_lister 3rd Dec 2021		Vinyl Album Neil Young And The Bluenotes - This Note's For You (1988)	Harold Melvin of 'The Blue Notes' band took legal action against Young to prevent him using the name 'Bluenotes' so the cover art had to be amended to remove the name. Young then renamed the band as 'Ten Men Workin'' after the opening track.
ady_lister 21st Nov 2021		Vinyl Album Neil Young - After The Gold Rush (1970)	The 9/19/1970 date is given in any reference I can find including Neil Young's Archive website. Remember that Neil's stock was high coming off the CSNY 'Deja Vu' album which went #1 and steady round of touring throughout 1970. This likely charted on release on advance sales alone.

ady_lister 1st Nov 2021		Vinyl Album Neil Young - Decade (1977)	The interesting thing about some early German issues of 'Decade' is that they play the longer 4:19 version of F4 'Campaigner' which has an extra verse and was pulled from the USA release at the Test pressing stage and replaced with the 3:30 version. Deadwax of Side 6 with the longer version is: WEA 64037-F PF Aural test is: the second verse on the longer version is: "Traffic cops are all color blind..." I would point out that the same take did eventually see an official release on the 'Hitchhiker' album in 2017 which has kept the price of any German 'Decade' with a long version 'Campaigner' slightly in check.

ady_lister 12th Oct 2021		Vinyl Album Be-Bop Deluxe - Axe Victim / Futurama (1983)	Added labels. Whilst the 'Harvest' logo appears in the gatefold and the originals were on Harvest - it doesn't on the labels. Is there an argument that this is an 'EMI' label release?

But I think for this site label text takes precedent. If it was up to me this album (and all the others) would be called 'Byrds' by 'The Byrds'.

If we have a ‘Made In England’ near the top and a ‘Made In England’ near the bottom… then here is a ‘Made In England’ in the middle. Deadwax has 'TICH AND QUACKERS' on Side 1 and ‘MANCHESTER UNITED’ on Side 2 And are the Martian Tripods complete with ‘Heat-Ray’ just a portentous coincidence? Or had Lynott’s role in 'War Of The Worlds' been confirmed by that point? Wiki has this released March 76 and recording for WOTW seemingly didn’t get underway till the May.

ady_lister 16th Sep 2021		Vinyl Album Family - Music In A Doll's House (1968)	Here are the covers and 2nd issue labels. I added both fronts as there's not much difference but they shifted up the 'frame' whereas on the first press cover the slick wrapped over the bottom. On the 2nd issue cover, the image and text isn't as clear on front and back - as if they used a 'photo of the photo' if you get what I mean...
ady_lister 6th Sep 2021		Vinyl Album Neil Young - After The Gold Rush (1970)	The 'RE1' and 'RE2' matrix # are as a result of a slightly different mix of B4 'When You Dance I Can Really Love'. The first RE1 pressings show and play a running time of 3:44 but the RE2 pressings list a running time of 3:44 but actually play a longer 4:04 version. It's also worth mentioning that A4 'Southern Man' plays at 5:30 on all USA issues and not the label time of 5:41 - only some German and Canadian issues have an alternate 5:41 mix.

ady_lister 6th Jul 2021		Vinyl Album Engelbert Humperdinck - 20 Special Songs For You (1981)	It doesn't help to explain without the cover - which I haven't added as 1/4 of it has been cut off my copy. '20 Special Songs For You' is given as the title on Front, Rear and Spine and 'Loving You - Losing You' is shown as the title on the labels. 'Loving You' and 'Losing You' are shown as the thematic titles for each side on the rear.

ady_lister 26th May 2021		Vinyl Album Fleet Foxes - First Collection 2006 (2018)	If it looks like I have added the records out of chronological sequence, it's because I have followed the track sequence of the download and wikipedia entry. Fleet Foxes is a 12", the other 3 discs are 10" 'The Fleet Foxes EP' is presented on vinyl for the first time - having initially only been a CD sold at early gigs. The artwork is cropped from the original to remove the word 'The'.

ady_lister 23rd Mar 2021		Vinyl Album Counting Crows - August And Everything After (2013)	The original vinyl release had become something of a early 90s vinyl collectable so this ressiue was welcome at the time. However, it wasn't available for very long before being withdrawn. I assume due to the decision to copy the original vinyl release and attempt to squeeze over an hours worth of music onto just 2 sides.
