Christian Belena1 5th Oct 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - G. I. Blues (1960) | The information in the Notes is incorrect. Neither the 1964 single release (RCA Victor Gold Standard 447-0720B) or the 1965 re-release (RCA Victor Gold Standard 447-0650A) have "Muss I Denn" anywhere on the label. (At least in the US)

Christian Belena1 15th Sep 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Burning Love And Hits From His Movies Vol. 2 (1972) | The B-side label erroneously lists J.D. Sumner and The Stamps as being vocal accompaniment on B5, from "Double Trouble." It should, instead, be The Jordanaires.
|
Christian Belena1 15th Sep 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Elvis Sings Hits From His Movies, Volume 1 (1975) | Another oddity is the inclusion of "Guitar Man" and "Big Boss Man." These songs - although on the "Clambake" album were never featured in any film. If Pickwick is claiming these as part of the the soundtrack for the NBC-TV Special, there is no info on the label.

Christian Belena1 5th Sep 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Worldwide 50 Gold Award Hits, Vol. 1 (1970) | I love the incorrect titles. Particularly "I'm All Shook Up." That's the single release title of David Hill's original on Aladdin 3359A, from 1956.

Christian Belena1 2nd Sep 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Singer Presents Elvis Singing "Flaming Star" And Others (1968) | I always thought the labels for this LP odd. RCA credits A2 from being from "Live a Little, Love a Little" but doesn't credit A1, A4, B1, B2, and B3 being from their respective movies.

Christian Belena1 2nd Sep 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Elvis Sings "Flaming Star" (1969) | @W.B.lbl > When this album was originally released in October 1, 1968 as RCA PRS-279, it included "Tiger Man." Funny thing is - it was released before the 1968 Comeback soundtrack - which was released in December. Therefore, giving a glimpse (unknowingly) of the Special's sit-down part of the show. All of the Special was actually recorded between June 22-30, 1968.
Also, I always thought the labels for this LP odd. RCA credits A2 from being from "Live a Little, Love a Little" but doesn't credit A1, A4, B1, B2, and B3 being from their respective movies.

Christian Belena1 26th Jul 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumMarty Robbins - Marty Robbins (1958) | Track A4 is incorrect: Correct title should be "Oh, How I Miss You (Since You Went Away)
Track B3 is incorrect: Correct title should be "Then I Turned and Walked Slowly Away"

Christian Belena1 27th Feb 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumTiny Tim - God Bless Tiny Tim (1968) | He actually broke in on the New Talent segment on the first episode of Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In on Jan 22,1968.
He sang “TipToe…” on the first season finale, April 29, 1968.

Christian Belena1 7th Jan 2023 | | Vinyl AlbumTommy James And The Shondells - Crimson & Clover (1969) | I love it when records companies can't agree on wording. The title track on the LP is "Crimson & Clover" while the single is "Crimson and Clover."
Reminds me of the 4 Seasons - some LPs read "The 4 Seasons" while singles from the LPs are "The Four Seasons" or another variation not consistent.
