Focus B ● 30th Apr 2020		Vinyl Album Spencer Davis Group - The Best Of The Spencer Davis Group (Featuring Stevie Winwood) (1968)	Purchased for 90p on 03/05/1985. Not clearly evident on the scans I note the bottom edge of the sleeve has been chewed by a dog or rodent(?), when I bought it. Thankfully, the vinyl isn't affected.
Focus B ● 26th Apr 2020		Vinyl Album The Moon - Without Earth (1968)	Labels and sleeve variation with Imperial Records info uploaded. Since been re-edited. There's a curious star imprinted with what looks like 68 in the centre on the rear top left. Anyone know the significance of this?
Focus B ● 22nd Apr 2020		Vinyl Album The Stranglers - Black And White (1978)	Break-In-Master: Quite a few coloured vinyl releases were inferior in quality when compared to black vinyl equivalents. As to why this was I don't know. Worst of all was luminous vinyl!

Focus B ● 10th Apr 2020		Vinyl Album Manfred Mann - Attention! (1974)	Sleeve uploaded. M. D'Abo is credited as, "d'Abo" on both sleeve and label. Taking another look at the label, it incorrectly states, "A Vertigo Production" for all tracks!
Focus B ● 10th Apr 2020		Vinyl Album Manfred Mann - Up The Junction (1970)	I was under the impression this is a form of," Re-processed stereo", or a mono recording cut as a stereo release? It certainly doesn't sound like a conventional mono record.
Focus B ● 9th Apr 2020		Vinyl Album Manfred Mann - Attention! (1974)	No country of origin on sleeve or label. With the NCB publishing badge and similarities to other Norwegian Fontana albums this was a guess. Please correct if I'm wrong.

Focus B ● 4th Mar 2020		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Live Stiffs Live (1978)	LOL- I remember when Mike Sparrow from BBC Radio London played the Ian Dury tracks on his Breakthrough rock show programme. He clearly wasn't aware of the bad language on this live version, taking it off part way through the latter track.
Focus B ● 6th Feb 2020		Vinyl Album Simple Minds - Real To Real Cacophony. (1979)	This was their second and much overlooked album, so much even though I had ZULP 1 from new, I wasn't aware of its existence until many years later.
Focus B ● 11th Oct 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - 20 Star Tracks (1972)	Worth mentioning that Jethro Tull's number fades out early and, at least on my copy, Lindisfarne's Lady Eleanor sounds like a completely different and inferior take to the single release.
Focus B ● 2nd Oct 2019		Vinyl Album The Who - The Who Sell Out (1981)	Interesting Phil. Thanks for that. I purchased this from a market stall in the '80s in unplayed condition to compensate for the missing copy from the, "Quick One/Sell Out" double set purchased cheaply a couple of years before. I don't recall seeing other albums from the boxset on sale singularly at the time.
Focus B ● 1st Oct 2019		Vinyl Album The Who - The Who Sell Out (1981)	Typos as of the labels. "Relay" should be "Relax" for example. All plastic labels, superb pressing though. As to why the sleeve states "Limited Edition" with an entirely different catalogue number is a mystery!
Focus B ● 28th Sep 2019		Vinyl Album The Who - A Quick One (1966)	Review What an album! I'm too young to remember how this album was received by the music press at the time of its original release. I first heard it in the 1980s myself. Listening to the album again some 30 years later it has certainly stood the test of time well. A flawless collection of Townsend originals plus John Entwhistle's Boris The Spider and Whiskey Man plus a rare Roger Daltrey penned number, See My Way plus the Keith Moon numbers of course. The album ends with the Pete Townshend epic, A Quick One While He's Away, an example of what was to follow with Tommy. We mustn't forget the sole cover version of Holland-Dozier-Holland's Heatwave, a very faithful treatment I reckon is as good as the covers on The Beatles' Please Please Me album. People say The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds was the album of 1966. I'd be the first to agree, but this album comes a joint second with The Beatles' Revolver in my view. 8 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
Focus B ● 17th Sep 2019		Vinyl Album The Who - A Quick One (1966)	Magic Marmalade- It depends on the length of the record and how it was cut. Albums with a longer than usual playing time are far more susceptible to damage. EG: my mono "loud cut" Beatles' Rubber Soul looks well worn and tatty visually, yet plays and sounds superb. The similar condition mono White Album plays as badly as it looks, which jumping in several places. Similar with singles of course.
Focus B ● 6th Sep 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Business Unusual (The Other Record Collection) (1978)	I've been very unlucky with this excellent compilation album, having owned two copies that got "lost". The first was on yellow vinyl, the second black.
Focus B ● 27th Aug 2019		Vinyl Album Hawkwind - Hall Of The Mountain Grill (1981)	Re-issued again on the Fame label in the mid 1980s. Don't know the catalogue number as I no longer have my copy of this.

Focus B ● 19th Apr 2019		Vinyl Album Spencer Davis Group - The Best Of The Spencer Davis Group (Featuring Stevie Winwood) (1968)	I have the original pink "Bullseye" label mono issue ILP 970. I'll dig it out for uploading in due course. Probably also relevant to this album is "Gimme Some Lovin'" differs from the original 45 in having backing vocals. Much prefer the original 45 issued version.

Focus B ● 10th Jan 2019		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Rock 'N' Roll Music (1976)	As far as compilations of previously released material goes this is very good. It doesn't discriminate between original numbers and covers, plus it was the first time to the best of my knowledge the Long Tall Sally EP was available on a UK album. In true or reprocessed stereo???
