A few shops did sell these individually, although what they did with the packaging is anyone's guess... I picked up Sell Out, A Quick One and Who's Next at Setchfields in Poole (a great source of albums in the very early 80s, including the original first Teardrop Explodes LP, mod/ska revivalists Graduate's LP and the Rocket sampler 4992139) I don't recall seeing any others from Phases though, but these were the only ones I needed so I may have just forgotten with the passing of time!
Interesting Phil. Thanks for that. I purchased this from a market stall in the '80s in unplayed condition to compensate for the missing copy from the, "Quick One/Sell Out" double set purchased cheaply a couple of years before.
I don't recall seeing other albums from the boxset on sale singularly at the time.
Typos as of the labels. "Relay" should be "Relax" for example.
All plastic labels, superb pressing though.
As to why the sleeve states "Limited Edition" with an entirely different catalogue number is a mystery!
