GEMSMFAN 4th Jul 2016		Vinyl Album Various Artists - American Graffiti (1973)	Like many 2-record sets, this double LP is record changer friendly: Record 1 (Side 1 / 4), Record 2 (Side 2 / 3). Added another MCA label design.
GEMSMFAN 2nd Jul 2016		Vinyl Album Bangles - Bangles (1982)	Reissued in 1983 on I.R.S., and a 3-track 3" CD single was released by I.R.S., in 1988.

GEMSMFAN 1st Jul 2016		Vinyl Album Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel (1978)	Very odd back cover. This is New York City midtown with the overhead passages being the New York Central RR "High Line" freight tracks. Elevated tracks went into buildings (sidings/docks) for trains to deliver goods. This may very well have been the meat packing district. The line is long abandoned because trucks (lorries?) now make deliveries. Most of the straight stretch was converted to a an elevated continuous running walking park.

GEMSMFAN 19th Sep 2015		Vinyl Album The Doobie Brothers - One Step Closer (1980)	the moderators apparently don't comment, but I spend about 15-20 minutes on each LP cover image, as it takes usually 4 scans which are straightened and then merged and then cropped... if the case is to remove or hide images everytime someone else adds the same images, I simply won't bother providing LP cover images.. no sense wasting my time with all the work, if they're not displayed.
GEMSMFAN 18th Sep 2015		Vinyl Album The Doobie Brothers - One Step Closer (1980)	Just am curious to what was wrong with the images I provided.. that they became secondary and hidden. upgraded? I do notice and have remarked numerous times in comments that some images don't resemble the original covers/items. submitters either have their scanners or image software set to "auto contrast" OR they purposely intensify the colors... it's like taking a cover that started blurry/grainy and "correcting" sharpening it, when originally is wasn't that way, merely so it looks "better" here.

GEMSMFAN 15th Mar 2014		Vinyl Album ABBA - Honey Honey (1979)	The "Ring Ring" album with 2 changes: "Ring Ring (Bara Du Slogan Signal)" and "I Saw It In The Mirror" replaced by "She's My Kind Of Girl" and "Honey Honey". The original release of this was 1974 obviously, but the ABBA logo would mean it is a reissue released no earlier than 1976, when the logo first was printed. It's surprising that labels in many cases don't print the actual year of release, but rather copyright years. Do note something, there is a 2nd catalog number, 2345 103 which is printed only on the record labels (left side).
GEMSMFAN 4th Mar 2014		Vinyl Album Stray Cats - Built For Speed (1982)	It took 2 foreign albums released in the UK, before EMI would release this so-call compilation of tracks plus a few new ones, from these crooners here in the U.S. and being that they were a local band from Long Island.
GEMSMFAN 24th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Happy Days Fonzie Favorites (1976)	Track A1, although not mentioned, was the later version of theme and recorded by Pratt & McClain with Brotherlove. That version was used at the start of the show and throughout most of the series' run. The lyrics were rewritten from the original 1974 Pratt & McClain version, which only was used during the end credits, as Bill Haley & His Comets' Rock Around The Clock, was the original opening theme.
