You'd get more impact if you got closer to analog audio.

Also Lonely Avenue, this one from vinyl from "Dimitris 004 New channel".

Roy Hamilton - Mr. Rock And Soul (1962)
I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry is a faster cooler rerecording of his 1954 single, and is included on some compilations.

Various Artists - 24 Groovy Greats
I guess they did a lot of shortening of these songs. My recording of Spanish Lace is ~1:28 instead of 2:20.

Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, Antal Dorati - Four Great Waltzes By Johann Strauss
Likely 1955-58 before stereo.
If anyone would like my copy let me know, I expect to discard it sometime.

Larry Williams - Here's Larry Williams (1959)
RocknRollArchivist: This LP version of Lizzie at 2:09 is not the single version which is 2:25. See the Canadian single for an audio link. The single ends with "be your lover man" while the album ends "wanna marry you". Are reissues using the album version?

Johnny Western - 20 Great Classics And Legends (1984)
His birth name was Johnny Westerlund, from Minnesota. He was first known as the writer and singer of the Ballad Of Paladin. Otherwise his further writing and recording were known to those who knew Country music. An impressive baritone, but not perfect enough to be a star singer. As a young man he had handsome looks.
You can order an autographed CD from his site.

Lina Margy - Chansons De Nos 20 Ans, Vol.5
Who knows more about this? There was material like this released in the early 1950s, and also in the early 1960s. This looks like a reissue, the Collection Chouettes series, or Serie Grande Diffusion. See Paris Je T'Aime at Discogs.
And what's the idea of the title Chansons De Nos 20 Ans?

Some of these songs on Youtube.

Mademoiselle De Paris from Jean Florenzano.
My definitive vocal of this song but why is it so overlooked? What year did she record it?

Elvis Presley - The Sun Sessions (1976)
Now understanding how the 2004 Elvis At Sun was made, these previous reissues did not use Sun's original masters, but RCA reprocessed masters based on the Sun masters. Or were they based on Sun unprocessed tapes.
Sun applied its echo during live recording so RCA had that for sure.
Anyway this LP sounds like garbage.

The Shadows - The Shadows' Greatest Hits (1963)
There is a legend that Hank Marvin once played one wrong note somewhere back here. I take issue with the way the Shadows start Apache. There's a starting note that's a little out of place.

Connie Francis - Who's Happy Now? (1978)
The title should be Who's Happy Now.
Can someone say how many tracks are disco? I read only Where The Boys Are, but now have the UK single and see that A-Ba-Ni-Bi is too.
Where was a 2:25 version released?
Wasn't a 12" issued anywhere else besides Australia? Japan had an issue.

Pat Boone - Pat's Great Hits Vol. 2 (1959)
Not every song on here was rerecorded for stereo in 1959. They started stereo in late 1957 and already had some. From my tests April Love is the same recording as the single, and so is If Dreams Came True. But not Gee But It's Lonely, and the For My Good Fortune arrangement sounds very different.
They must have rerecorded early songs like Two Hearts.

Pat Boone - The Best Of Pat Boone (1982)
Would all the early songs here be the 1959 stereo rerecordings?
Finally they put Moody River on a Hits LP. But I'm sorry they are still neglecting Johnny Will and Big Cold Wind from 1961. And wasn't Welcome New Lovers of 1960 considered a significant hit?

Various Artists - Autumn Leaves (1973)
Review
This collection is alright. No rerecordings. Little Things Mean A Lot turns out to be by Kitty Kallen. What a commentary on how well she is remembered. By the way if you like that song, my definitive rendition is by Anita Bryant.
C4 and C5 just seem to be album versions of other people's hit singles. C6 is the 1965 version with vocal chorale.

A super single that didn't chart high, after the label branched into Congress, which didn't work out well.

I don't remember what I did ol' Magic. My LP is mono. This back cover is not my own scan. The front looks right. So add the stereo number as an alternate no.

Ray Smith - Rare Items (1987)
A5 is an unmastered studio take, with the chorus volume too low.
There is also a Ray Smith of UK of the 60s-70s who was a writer and guitarist, and did some work with Teresa Brewer too. His Youtube channel is riff490.

The Coasters - Wake Me, Shake Me (1980)
The Snake And The Bookworm is a strange edition. Not the same as the single release, it is missing the group refrains of the title between the verses. There is just empty instrumental fill there. All reissues were this way, I'd like to know why.
Here is the original single on YT from GSMusicMoments

Fats Domino - Fats Domino Sings Million Record Hits (1960)
Review
This amounts to a Volume 2 of his hits, almost. It has some great hits from 1959, some fair hits. Then it's one of those head-scratchers about what the executives were thinking.
A1, A2, A5, B1, B6 did not chart but four of these were flip sides of hits, which are not included: Rose Mary (1953), Wait And See, Valley Of Tears, and The Big Beat.
So it's only moderately interesting. By the way the stereo LP has only mono songs.
"Million Record Hits" is a blatantly deceptive title. Actually there's not a single gold record on this. But two of the missing hits were gold.
Volume 1 would be Fats Domino Swings. Volume 3 is the one titled (also deceptively) Million Sellers.
