Elvis Presley - Moody Blue (1977)
Added original issue inner (same both sides) and labels - never noticed the poor printing on the labels. Correction requested.

Elvis Presley - Elvis' Golden Records Volume 3 (1971)
So washed-out orange rather than over-saturated tan. I just had a look at a couple of Elvis labels from original release 1971 and 1972 and they have the same layout, font etc. so your original thought of 1971 may well be correct. I don't know how to be more precise maybe there's an RCA Australia expert out there somewhere.

Elvis Presley - Elvis' Golden Records Volume 3 (1971)
Thanks PhilMH - the colour of this label also looks a bit different i.e more heavily saturated but I put that down to the scanning. Do you agree that the main entry date of this should be 1963?

Elvis Presley - Elvis' Golden Records Volume 3 (1971)
Hi Whassup I am still trying to determine when RCA Australia/N.Z started using the tan labels. I have a quite large Elvis collection and at that time (1974 to 1988) kept a detailed account of date/place of purchase and price paid (always new, I never bought any second-hand) - I guess I had a lot more spare time back then. I have entered the Sun Sessions album that I bought 5th June '76 which still had orange labels and Elvis (sometimes called the Fool album) I bought on 3rd December '77 had the tan labels so I'm guessing they switched in '76 or '77 but it may not be as cut and dried as that. Anyway the main date for this entry should actually be 1963 as this is when the cat# LSP 2765 (mono LPM 2765) was first released this allows anyone with an original copy to enter their images on this same page. The issue date of the subsequent release can be added to comments and/or in the item description when uploading images. This also may be a dual citizen as on the record label it mentions manufactured by RCA Sydney and Auckland - but that's another story. Sorry for the long winded comment - I hope it's in some way helpful.

Elvis Presley - Moody Blue (1977)
Hi Lee - the original release has slightly different labels (still tan colour) and a printed paper inner sleeve with images of other Elvis albums. I must of been one of the few who bought a copy while he was still alive. I was going to wait until I had a chance to scan/enter everything before requesting a correction. Thanks for noticing.

Elvis Presley - Moody Blue (1977)
Hi Whassup this is a re-issue after Way Down became a hit hence the "contains the hits..." on the front cover (back cover is identical) - could even still be a 1977 release just later in the year.

Elvis Presley - Something For Everybody (1961)
Thanks PhilMH the label does look strange with the logos blacked out. Hopefully someone can add the original 1961 issue also personally I would have entered this as Elvis Presley - not Elvis Presley and The Jordanaires.

Elvis Presley - Something For Everybody (1961)
Added images from my copy purchased new 18th Jan. 1977 - so most probably a 1976 re-issue. The front and back cover are identical to Gregs78s images.I already scanned the front cover before I realised it was the same and added it anyway as I think it looks a bit better. Gregs78s your labels do look unusual may be a case for entering it as a U.K. release (made in U.S.A) depending on how official it was. I would be interested in MemphisMartin's take on it.

Elvis Presley - Speedway (1968)
It should be noted that track B1 is sung by Nancy Sinatra and track A2 is a duet with Nancy Sinatra. This is the first official soundtrack recording that featured an artist other than Elvis on any of the tracks although it wasn't unusual for duets to be used in the actual movie Elvis' solo recordings were on the soundtrack album - notably child actress Donna Butterworth in Paradise Hawaiian Style - Datin' and Queenie Wahine's Papaya and Ann Margret's efforts in Viva Las Vegas had to wait many years before getting a release.

Elvis Presley - The Sun Sessions (1976)
Hi Lee - I will send a correction. The next Elvis album I entered (purchased December 1977) had the tan labels so I'm guessing that RCA changed to that label design sometime in 1977 or late 1976 - maybe PhilMH will know.

I believe that this is a re-issue (newer type labels) - I purchased it new 3rd December 1977.

Noticed that above the RCA logo on the backdrop at Elvis' cuff level is the name "HARVEY" is anyone aware of the significance.

Added better quality front cover (without the laminate folds) and original label images - my copy purchased 5th June 1976. Acknowledging Lee Wrecker for the original entry.

Elvis Presley - Elvis' Gold Records Volume 4 (1968)
Hi Stoutfellow51 - the stereo version requires a separate entry - different cat # = new entry - you can link the releases via the "Add Linked Release" tab . I will have to get around to entering my albums probably have 50 or so mainly AUS. issues. You and Memphis Martin are making me feel guilty.

Elvis Presley - Blue Hawaii (1961)
Hi Whassup good to see you adding some Aussie Elvis LPs have been thinking about doing the same for a while seeing there were only 6 listed before your recent entries.
I'm sure that this would have been released before Christmas 1961 although I wouldn't pin it down to October which was the U.S release date also record type/format would be Mono LP as apposed to the stereo version with an SL prefix.

John Lennon - Roots: John Lennon Sings The Great Rock And Roll Hits (1975)
Can't decide which has the worst front cover this or the Australian J&B release titled Rip It Up.

Various Artists - Rock-N-Roll Heaven (1981)
Hi Mark Taylor - welcome always good to have another Aussie voice (I presume). I don't know who compiled the album but it was hastily put together after John Lennon's death. As pointed out by Neil Forbes the eras and genres are pretty mixed but I guess when the common thread is singers who left us way too early it narrows the field quite a bit. Pity that the best they could come up with for John Lennon was Ain't She Sweet but obviously little choice with copyright limitation.

Pink Floyd - Relics (1982)
Going by the Michael de Looper database axis cat #1099 Al Martino's Mary In The Morning is listed as April 1982. There is no mention of an earlier Axis release of Relics and cat # 1100 should be from 1982.

Pink Floyd - Relics (1982)
Further to previous comment this was also released on the Drum label (another EMI budget label) DRUM 8026 in the early 70's - maybe 1971 as per Discogs info.

Pink Floyd - Relics (1982)
I believe that this is the original release on the budget Axis label - released 1982. Axis started in 1972 so 1971 will not be correct. The original 1971 release was not on the Axis label. Maybe PhilMH will be able to provide more detail.

Various Artists - 20 Red Hot Hits (1970)
From Wiki -"Down the Dustpipe" is a song written by Australian singer-songwriter Carl Groszman. He was a client of Valley Music, who were affiliated to Status Quo’s management in their early days.
Although I must admit that I had never heard of him.

The Electric Light Orchestra - The Electric Light Orchestra (1971)
Hi Vinylectric - If you have images of the covers and/or labels they can be added to this entry. Discogs has a green cover version as well as the blue. It was quite common for the World Record Club to issue/re-issue records with the same cover design in different colours e.g. Cliff Richard S-5019 was available in 5 different colours - Mamas and Papas S/4789 had at least 3 different coloured covers.

Elvis Presley - A Portrait In Music (1972)
It says in the notes. Unreadable handwr. sign. on both sides. If this refers to the autograph on the front cover - it reads "my sincere thanks Elvis Presley".

Frankie Laine And Guy Mitchell - The Very Best Of Frankie Laine And Guy Mitchell (1989)
According to the cat# sequence in Michael De Looper's database this release should be 1989.

Divinyls - What A Life! (1985)
I had similar thoughts when I added the ABBA Gold CD where the Australian version has 3 different tracks that I mentioned in the notes but someone linked it so I guess it's O.K.

Godley And Creme - Snack Attack (1982)
Lee I only realised it was your initial entry after I made the comment - from comments I thought it was Neil Forbes entry. There are examples of re-released albums on re-titled budget labels like Blood, Sweat & Tears Child Is Father To The Man re-released on MFP as The First Album.

Hi Lee I believe that they should be linked as long as the tracks are the same i.e. same versions of the same songs track order not important. See John Lennon Rip It Up. https://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/jb326
